Getting Jersey Mike's for lunch

I've found that the best way to kill a hangover is a greasy hamburger . . . haven't a clue why it works, but, it does.

I have to run out and pick up a RX refill today, and there's a JerseyMikes a half block from CVS . . . might haveta stop in and grab an Italian.

Mmmmm . .

I think I just decided that Jersey Mikes was going to be my lunch today as well.

Going with the club sub today. Mmmm bacon.

The mixture of oils and sauces they throw on there when you get a sandwich "Mike's Way" is divine.

Mike's way is the only way. Agreed.

I ate there 2 times last week because I was working close by. The closest one to my office is 15 miles away so around here I have to settle for Subway at lunch. What a let down.:(

Well, ain't this place a geographical oddity...two weeks from everywhere.

I had Jimmy John's roast beef (w onions)...delivered. Didn't even get up from my desk.
Not great, but it works when you're busy.

Goodness, where do you work? A field in the middle of Cherryville?

ETA: You're in Bessemer City right? Is the one in Gastonia (basically it's in Lowell) off 74 not close to your work?

That would be on the other side of Gastonia from me. I probably exaggerated the distance a bit but still a drive and traffic to deal with.

Bessemer City has absolutely zero chain restaurants. The west side of Gastonia (which is the Bessemer City side) has Subway, Wendys, Bojangles, Mickie D's, &Taco Bell. So if I want a sub sandwich, Subway is the most convenient. My saving grace is my home is one mile from work so I usually end up going there for lunch.

Crossing Bessemer City off my list of potential living locations near Charlotte lol. I gotta have my chain restaurants. I'm basic like that.

Oh, and this is way off-topic but it's my thread so I'm throwing it in anyway. I was in Gastonia this weekend and I can't believe how much more crowded that place gets each time I come back. It was a zoo on Saturday afternoon trying to navigate stores and such. Oh and BBQ joints in Gastonia are all pretty meh, IMO.

It's a congested mess. It's a joke that it's even more congested in Gastonia coming home from work than it is in freaking Charlotte. Can't wait to leave.

My mom is born and raised Gastonia and I've spent tons of time there over the years, but I gotta say there ain't much going for it. I mean...there's a decent amount of attractive slightly trashy girls (kinda my thing), but most have kids (kinda NOT my thing).

Have you tried Kyle Fletcher's BBQ? It's out Highway 74 close to Lowell. Maybe the reason I like it so much is he's a big Tar Heel fan and has a lot of memorabilia on the walls. But most times when I want BBQ it's just as close for me to drive to Bridge's in Shelby.

I have indeed eaten there. It was cool seeing all the memorabilia inside and everything, but the bbq was just OK to me. Too dry. I did appreciate that they had Sun Drop though.

prolly had Jersey Mike's two to three hundred times ( a bunch) over the course of 21 years. first twenty times or so I ordered the #9 (turkey, roast beef and bacon) then decided to try something different and got the meatball sub. big mistake. went back to #9 and I've literally had nothing else from Jersey Mike's.

Oh god i miss me some sun drop. Had to cut out sodas. In my younger thinner days i would drink 3-4/day. Then it had actual orange pulp in the bottom.

Jersey Mike's is good but we seldom eat any sort of fast food or anything resembling fast food anymore. I bet it is has been three or four years since I've had Jersey Mike's.
