Post of the year.Going with the club sub today. Mmmm bacon.
The mixture of oils and sauces they throw on there when you get a sandwich "Mike's Way" is divine.

I get Mike's Way with no onions. Onions can overpower the taste of any sandwich, IMO.I think I just decided that Jersey Mikes was going to be my lunch today as well.
Mike's way is the only way. Agreed.
Substitute Firehouse instead?I ate there 2 times last week because I was working close by. The closest one to my office is 15 miles away so around here I have to settle for Subway at lunch. What a let down.
I wish I could. That one is 18 miles away from here.Substitute Firehouse instead?
You just negated your post of the year with that blasphemous nonsense. A sandwich is not a sandwich until it has onions.I get Mike's Way with no onions. Onions can overpower the taste of any sandwich, IMO.
Agree to disagree, young padawan. You just negated your post of the year with that blasphemous nonsense. A sandwich is not a sandwich until it has onions.
I got a club too, by the way. I love Jersey Mike's bacon.
Goodness, where do you work? A field in the middle of Cherryville?I wish I could. That one is 18 miles away from here.

I don't want Fop, GDit!

Closest one to me is 75 miles.

I like Jimmy John's, but you're right -- I'd say 75% of why I like their subs is because they're delivered.I had Jimmy John's roast beef (w onions)...delivered. Didn't even get up from my desk.
Not great, but it works when you're busy.

ETA: You're in Bessemer City right? Is the one in Gastonia (basically it's in Lowell) off 74 not close to your work?
Crossing Bessemer City off my list of potential living locations near Charlotte lol. I gotta have my chain restaurants. I'm basic like that. That would be on the other side of Gastonia from me. I probably exaggerated the distance a bit but still a drive and traffic to deal with.
Bessemer City has absolutely zero chain restaurants. The west side of Gastonia (which is the Bessemer City side) has Subway, Wendys, Bojangles, Mickie D's, &Taco Bell. So if I want a sub sandwich, Subway is the most convenient. My saving grace is my home is one mile from work so I usually end up going there for lunch.
Try living in Atlanta and its surrounding suburbs, fam. THEN we can talk commuting issuesIt's a congested mess. It's a joke that it's even more congested in Gastonia coming home from work than it is in freaking Charlotte. Can't wait to leave.
Oh I don't doubt that a bit. I just hate Gastonia and will never pass up an opportunity to bitch about it.Try living in Atlanta and its surrounding suburbs, fam. THEN we can talk commuting issues
Have you tried Kyle Fletcher's BBQ? It's out Highway 74 close to Lowell. Maybe the reason I like it so much is he's a big Tar Heel fan and has a lot of memorabilia on the walls. But most times when I want BBQ it's just as close for me to drive to Bridge's in Shelby.Oh and BBQ joints in Gastonia are all pretty meh, IMO.
I have indeed eaten there. It was cool seeing all the memorabilia inside and everything, but the bbq was just OK to me. Too dry. I did appreciate that they had Sun Drop though.Have you tried Kyle Fletcher's BBQ? It's out Highway 74 close to Lowell.
