Go Panthers!

If the Panthers are able to get to Peyton, then it's Carolina's to lose. I'm interested to see how Cam does against Denver's attack as well. I have no idea how this one is gonna go. IMO, it's either going to be a high scoring Carolina rout or a low scoring ugly close game that could go either way.

I don't want to be one of the over-confident ones, but I've been intriguingly watching the reports coming from the Carolina beat writers who are out there...just to see how the team is handling this week, and it really sounds like they are completely focused.

Between the players' self-issued curfews (see "Club Shiznit" apparently), several players breaking out singing yesterday in celebration of no more interviews, etc. It really sounds like Ron Rivera has them hungry and realizing all this could come crashing down in a heartbeat if they come out flat. He's been there, and if you've ever heard players on the last Super Bowl team speak, they speak about how demoralizing it was when they lost -- Steve Smith would even say that all the pageantry leading up to the game...the media is all over you, and you're a celebrity, but once the Super Bowl is over...the field ushers come out and rush the losing team off the field -- as if they were no longer worthy of being there. It was pretty eye-opening hearing him talk about it -- Mohsin Muhammad hangs out with the team all the time -- you know he's relayed this as well.

I think they'll be fine.

Just got a two-hour break from work for a Panthers celebration. Pizza, Chick-fil-A nuggets and chicken minis, deviled eggs, meatballs, pigs-in-a-blanket, etc. It was the Super Bowl of office potlucks. Oh, and a 16-player paper football playoff that was pretty hilarious, even if I did almost lose an eye.

Haha I did the same thing, except we just had wings and beer (yes, beer at the work office). All employees at the Charlotte office got together for one giant dab photo. Needless to say the Panthers craze down here is on full force.

Must be nice...

I'm relegated to talking shyt to the folks I work with...most who don't even know there's a game this weekend, but will tune in to "see the commercials." (sighs... out of my element)

Dude we drink in my office at the end of every work day. I had to go to the liquor store at 11:30 this morning to get more beer for the office. Not kidding.

ETA: Panthers have been my adopted team this year and I've always loved Peyton Manning so I'm gonna be happy with whoever wins on Sunday.

...and halftime. Ugh. To each their own, but the people who only watch for that stuff never seem to STFU while the actual game is on.

True. That's why I won't go to any SB parties this year. I want to watch and pay attention to the action on the field without a bunch of non-football idiots distracting me.

That was a night shoot at Bank of America Stadium on February 8, 2012, the very night Austin Rivers hit the game winner at the Dean Dome. The high-speed, overcranked footage of Cam and his sweet footwork was captured using a Phantom Flex camera.
