Watching the game tonight wondering where they would stand in the ACC. I'm suggesting they would be 5th or 6th in the league. Am I missing something? Can't see them going into Cameron, Dean Dome, Louisville, UVA, or even the Carrier Dome and getting a W. So they would have perhaps 6 losses at a minimum realizing the home and home does not exist anymore. Just saying the league they play in gets them a 2 seed at the worst. In the ACC they would be awarded a 5 seed in the big dance. Agreed?

They are solid and well-coached and would likely be upper-division in the ACC. That being said they would also be just another team looking up enviously at UNC's ACC Regular Season title, hoping they could land a double bye for the ACCT.

And I would go further and say Clemson or NC State would beat St. Marys. It just is what it is.

St. Mary's looks terrible! They shouldn't have been ranked at all this season, best win is Dayton..I think Gonzaga is solid, I might pick them to lose very early though! Possibly second round

This game reminds me of playing at the YMCA years ago. Like a bunch of 40 year olds that have no talent. And I know - I used to be one of them.

I'm not buy them as one of the best 4 teams in the country. Put them in the ACC or Big 12 and they would have at least 5 losses by now. I'd say 4 seed in the tourney at best.

As I have said previously, and in agreement with y'all above, the Zags are a smidge over rated. I've watched them a few times. We are a better team than they. So is UCLA (without some of the defense others have). And I'd say #5 or #6 place finish in the ACC for them. And as brackets go, it seems the West will be soft.

Anybody giving odds on who the #1 seed in dook's bracket will be?

Watched that whole game last night. Gonzaga would finish 7th or 8th in the ACC this year and folks say this is Gonzaga's best-ever team. So yeah.

It won't happen, but Gonzaga should try to move up to a better conference to test their mettle. I don't know what that would be though. Perhaps basketball-only membership in the Pac-12/14?

Same thoughts here after watching last night.

It's not so much Gonzaga, but St. Mary's who went 28-3, is not good at all and that's the top competition for them. I think the Zags would have a Syracuse type season if they were in the ACC.

Agree with the above. Gonzaga is the tallest midget out in the WCC. Duke will be the #4 seed in their region barring an ACC Final appearance, in which case they'll be put in MSG as the #3 up against Baylor as the #2. Not saying it's a conspiracy, just saying that's how the committee will make sure it'll play out.
