Watched the video of this new gaming system by google and it looks great and a fraction of the cost of what a new next gen xbox and playstation cost. Think I will go ahead and drop a 129 bucks for it. you can purchase games or pay a subscription of 9.99 a month and I guess have unlimited access at that price. Billy L I have been gone for a while you still alive and kicking ?

It sounds like it will operate like Steam. I'm curious as to what the subscription is going to be about. Having a monthly subscription that would allow you unlimited access to all the games in the library would be an interesting idea. It could revolutionize the industry.

Edit: As for Billy, I guess he was banned. I haven't seen him on here in some time.

You should probably check with your internet provider first to make sure you don't have a data cap. I read that could be an issue.

Are you talking GB per month or MB per second? I could see the latter being an issue if you wanted to stream games at 4k.
Per month. Every review I've read said it could be an issue depending on what games you play.

as far as i know we have no data cap. I pay about 100 bucks a month for 400 mbps internet from Spectrum.

I don't think most providers have a cap. If you're using your phone as a hot-spot I could see where that might be a problem. If you're using Spectrum/Brighthouse/Comcast/ect... I don't see how it would be an issue.

Most providers have one. It's just usually set at a much higher amount than most people use. It's normally buried in the terms and conditions that people don't read.
