Yes the player of the year really lit the Jay Hawks up and defensively his matador defense was very obvious. Now that he cannot trip people anymore without consequences he cannot stop or cover any elite athlete.
Give it a rest jah. If you had half as much integrity as the man you keep demeaning, you wouldn't keep repeating that unwarranted slander.

Yikes, looks like I touched a nerve in the Cruz camp? Would it have been OK if I just left out the "lyin" part? It was made as a joke cause that is what Trump kept calling him during the primaries.
A ton of falsehoods and libels were spread during the campaign. It's the nature of politics, as dirty a business as there is. Muckraking is the order of the day. I just happen to admire Cruz because he is a staunch constitutionalist, as am I. But I don't want to derail the thread. Politics is best left to the OOTB board. No offense meant, Jah.
Agreed. I'm a Cruz guy but don't come here for politics. If I want that, I'll go watch DSPN.
Not sure if you post there but we have some extremely enlightening political debates on OOTB. Billy's one of my favorite posters and we agree the majority of the time on sports, but we have very different political views. That's fine, still like the guy. The world would be a stagnant, boring place if we all agreed.

Yeah but unless we are playing them, why do we need all these threads on them? I'm more concerned with Carolina basketball than Grayson Allen and his foot spasms.
There are too many that must be on the list, there needs to be an inter squad game. Not sure Lee Melchioni was good enough player to be on it but he's sure a big enough douchebag, flopper, & man hugger to qualify. Going back to almost the beginning of the thuggery, Danny Meagher (sp?) is a must for the team as well.
Rat has to suspend him a game if he does it this year. He has admitted it was done out of competition and being fustrated. Let the subject rest, the NBA will be his punishment. No man in the league is going to allow Grayson to trip them intentionally, and not retaliate (In the words of Trump) BIG TIME!
You are right, he has not played up to his potential this year. He is hobbled by an injury that some are saying is "turf toe." I think if/when we get Tatum, Giles, Bolden back it will help him some, because right now teams are really concentrating on him (which is partly why Kennard is scoring so much). Not making excuses for him, he hasn't been real good, but I'm not worried about him and believe he will get going.
Theres been several dookies i liked and respected as people and players. Battier, hill, g man, brand to name a few. I dont let the rivalry jade my opinion here. But in all my years watching bball allen is easily the biggest pussy i've ever watched. Hes dirty, overrated and over hyped. I look forward to him getting his punk ass kicked in the nba for the few months he hangs around there.
I agree. K didn't do him any favors talking him into coming back. Unless things change, he may never recover the millions he may have lost by not going last year. And, let's face it, when Giles, Tatum and Bolden take the court, Trip's role will be further reduced.
On a related topic, I watched a bit of yesterday's Duke game. Frank Jackson was very impressive. There may be some question whether he is a real PG, but there's no doubt the kid can play. Reminds me of Kansas' Frank Mason, only 4" taller. Still may have a little baby fat on him, but he's a bruiser (not in a bad way, but he'll probably learn that part).
Trip's fall in the draft may be painful folks. He is now looking at the late second round. Would it be ironic if Trip came back for a senior year and did not start? Their best backcourt combination is Kenard and Jackson. In fact, the more Kenard and Jackson are off the floor the better for the competition. Kenard reminds me of Jerry West of the Lakers. The kid can flat out play. Hope he leaves for the NBA after this year. K-Rat will probably convince Kenard to come back when he may be a projected first round NBA. Kenard is a better NBA prospect than Trip.

I think dook will lose Bolden, Giles, Tatum, Timothy Leary, Jefferson, and possibly even Jackson, after this year. So they'll be going back to the drawing board just as we probably will. I do think Kennard will return.
