That's was a heck of a job today. Pitt is a quality team, especially at home.

1. Good ball movement on offense.
2. Very good job contesting shooters on defense.
3. JJ playing looking like a Mid-1st rounder
4. Meeks is playing the best of his career, and a top 10 big nationally.
5. JBerry was himself again today.

Go Heels:)

All that - and Theo is Mr. Stat stuffer do everything kind of guy. Am happy with what we got from the Bradley - Hicks combo too, especially when Pitt was worn down and our better size and conditioning worked to our benefit.

I just wish we'd foul a bit less - but I'd say there were quite a few fouls called - maybe both ways - with pretty sketchy, light contact.

Seems like every guy on this team, at this point in the season, is VERY smart about moving the ball, and getting the best shot possible, while still putting pressure on via primary or secondary break, whenever they can.

Unlike a lot of other teams, for the Heels you hardly ever see a lot of standing around on offense. And guys that shouldn't be jacking up perimeter shots - aren't - even though the defense leaves them wide open (for a reason). Very smart.

That was a solid, good win .I liked our d a lot and the deny defense that Nate played was great to watch
This team is developing a resilience and toughness as March madness approaches

Now we head to Hooville Gonna be another tough night there.... keep it going Heels

He was very active today.

Oh and THEO did you notice he played a LOT at the point ,especially in the fist 5-10 minutes.... he is VERY versatile

Great effort!

We outrebounded them by 20 and had 24 OR's to their 9. That will win a bunch of games for you.

We had 23 assists on 33 made baskets, Isaiah with a whopping 6 dimes and Theo with 7. We shared the ball nicely.

We 10 of 24 from long distance41.7%), Pitt was 7 of 24(29.2%). good stuff there.

Only 8 TO's for the Heels to 12 for Pitt.

Kennedy Meeks was a stud, 18 points, 10 boards, 1 assist , 2 steals, 9 of 11 on FG's. Doesn't get much better than that.

Isaiah again limited with 4 fouls, but he did produce 8 points, 6 boards, and 6 assists.

I do really feel for Hicks, and for Theo today. I only saw the second half, but I swear both of them got two fouls where they are just standing their ground, or moving laterally, but in no way initiating contact, the offensive guy initiates contact, and earns the foul call.

That isn't new this year, and I don't think officials "have it out" for Hicks or for TP. I just wonder what they are supposed to do - run away to avoid contact?

It is the one type of foul call that bothers me the most in the college game today. The driver initiates contact, gets the foul call phenomena. And whether it is his lack of size, or his extra toughness (no flops or whiplash-head, etc) it seems that Joel Berry doesn't get these calls as much as his counterparts, when driving to the rim.
