Is that for real? Please tell me I read that incorrectly. I thought it might be GT -3.5. Holy sh*t...does Vegas know something we don't?

They are obviously wanting to get some money on the Heels?

I suspect that line will come down when the majority takes the points initially.

You are oh so correct THM. Looks like someone recognizes a good regional game and wants more money on both sides. This, IMO, is just a reflection of early money.

Looks like the line is now UNC +8. I think that is about right giving the fact
that we are oh for Atlanta since '97 and have trouble stopping the run and
have really had trouble stopping the triple option of GT. Hate to say it,
but I hope our leaders have watched a lot of the dook/GT film from last
Saturday. GT had committed some errors, but dook's D didn't give up
too many big plays. Go Heels!!!!

No way Tech covers that spread. I have watched every game from both teams and I am sure that Tech is going to have a very hard time stopping the Heels on D. Specifically the Tech DBs. They have gotten baked by tall rangy receivers.

Yeah, but can our Defense stop the bees?

They saw our run defense against a 1-2 FCS team. But seriously what is the over/under that could be a wild one. dook really didn't have a lot of offense for a game with limited turnovers. They did have a kick return for a TD and I believe Tech had more total yards. I think Sirk is 2nd rate as a QB. I think he threw 2 picks which make the stats even more head scratching.

I agree that the over looks like the play, but Vegas only sets the lines to
get action on both sides. It is amazing how close they are sometimes.
Just a tidbit from my voice of experience.

I agree with the crowd that the over is the play here.

As far as the rest of it goes, I think UNC on the spread would be the last thing I'd do. I'd probably bet GT and lay the points, but at the same time take UNC moneyline. The way I see it is UNC will either win the damn game for once, or the wheels will completely fall off and we still won't be able to stop that offense and we'll lose by two scores or more. Don't really see a situation we lose by a FG or something

I never saw the line at UNC +12.5, but it is at UNC +7 right now. That is a significant drop,
seeing as teams get -3 just for being the home team. I agree with other posters that UNC
has to keep scoring and hopefully our defense is up to the task to keep their offense at bay.
Some tough things with GT are: they go for it a lot on 4th down, they work so much clock when their offense is clicking, and they throw the ball just enough to be dangerous. I trust that Chizik has a game plan. Does anyone know how his teams have traditionally done against option teams??
