GT gets commitment from a 5*

Brent Key is no Mack Brown. He played OL and has never been accused of being able to talk Eskimos into buying snow. But GT already had a pair of 4* commits for the 2025 class, and now 5* OT Josh Petty has joined what is expected to be the highest rated GT class since 2007.

Key with less talent on board is already 2-0 vs. Mack. My bet is that Key, whose coaching focuses on fundamentals, will have a chance to win the ACC at GT. He is another coach that Nick Saban wanted on his staff. Saban never would have had time for silver tongued Mack.

When Mack was hired, almost everyone who liked the hire talked up the fact that silver tongue Mack would be able to raise big bucks for the program and out recruit almost everybody in the ACC.

If Mack can't do those things, he is not worth anything.

Now GT gets a commitment from a 4* DL who is ranked by ESPN as #135. This guy de-committed from UGA to commit to GT.

When was the last time that any UGA, or any other top SEC ;program, commit de-committed right to GT.

A coach like Mack can waste untold amounts of talent and potential. A coach like Key starts to land big talent, and he can win the league.
