• No. 18/17 North Carolina improved to 7-2 overall and 5-1 in the ACC with a 48-20 win over Georgia Tech.

• Carolina has won three games in a row over Georgia Tech for the first time since 1992-93-94.

• The Tar Heels have scored 36.6 points per game in their last seven games against the Yellow Jackets, and 44.7 in the last three games.

• Carolina has now won 10 of the last 11 games at Kenan Stadium, including all seven games in 2015 and three of four this season.

• Carolina has won 18 of its last 22 games, including 13 of 14 ACC regular-season games.

• Carolina has scored 30 or more points in 42 of Fedora’s 61 games at UNC.

• Carolina has scored 40 or more points in 25 of Fedora’s 61 games at UNC.

• Carolina amassed a season-high 636 yards of total offense. The previous high was 635 against James Madison.

• The 636 total offense yards are the seventh-highest total in UNC single-game history.

• Larry Fedora’s teams have produced four of the 10 highest total offense yardage figures in school history. No other UNC head coach has more than two games on that top-10 yardage list (Mack Brown, Dick Crum and Bill Dooley each with two).

• The 636 total offense yards are the most by Carolina since it had 704 against Duke last year.

• Today marked the 10th time in UNC history and the third time this season that one player rushed for 100 yards (Elijah Hood 168), one passed for 300 yards (Mitch Trubisky 329) and another had 100 yards receiving (Bug Howard 120). Hood-Trubisky-Ryan Switzer did it against James Madison and Hood-Trubisky-Howard also did it against Virginia.

• Today marks the first time in UNC history players rushed for 100 yards, passed for 300 yards and had 100 receiving yards in consecutive games. Elijah Hood, Mitch Trubisky and Bug Howard accomplished that feat against Virginia and Georgia Tech.

• Carolina rushed for a season-high 283 yards. The previous high this season was 197 at Illinois. It is the most since Carolina had 374 in the win at NC State last year.

• Elijah Hood rushed for a season-high 168 yards and scored three touchdowns. It is the 11th time in his career he rushed for 100 yards and the second time in his career he rushed for three touchdowns. He also scored three rushing touchdowns last year in a win over Duke. Hood scored on runs of 1 yard and 36 yards in the first half and had a 2-yard TD run in the third quarter.

• Hood rushed for 114 yards in the first quarter. It is the first time he has ever rushed for 100 yards in the first quarter.

• Hood averaged 14.0 yards per carry.

• Quarterback Mitch Trubisky completed 20 of 32 attempts for 329 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed six times for 44 yards and a touchdown and caught a pass for eight yards.

• Bug Howard had six receptions for 120 yards. It is his third consecutive game with 100 or more receiving yards. His 68-yard touchdown reception was the longest scoring catch of his career. His previous best was a 49-yarder vs. Duke in 2015.

• Weiler’s 50-yard field goal in the second quarter was his third field goal of 50-or-more yards this season and of his career. Earlier this season, he made a game-winning 54-yarder at Florida State and a 52-yareder at Miami.

• Freshman D.J. Ford blocked a 32-yard field goal attempt in the second quarter. That was the third blocked field goal this season for the Tar Heels. Jeremiah Clarke blocked a field goal attempt at Florida State and Jalen Dalton blocked one at Miami.

• Linebacker Andre Smith made 12 tackles. It is the fourth game this season he has posted 10 or more tackles.

• Georgia Tech’s 83-yard pass play in the first quarter was the longest play from scrimmage for a UNC opponent this season.

• The teams were a combined 16 of 27 (59.3 percent) on third down.

• The teams combined for only three punts (two by Georgia Tech and one by Carolina). The season low for combined punts is two at Florida State (one apiece).

• Georgia Tech committed the game’s only two turnovers (a fumble caused by Mikey Bart and recovered by Myles Dorn and a fumble recovered by Jeremiah Clarke). The Tar Heels converted both turnovers into touchdowns.

• This was the third time in nine games this season the Tar Heels did not commit a turnover (also in the loss vs. Georgia and win at Miami).

• Georgia Tech completed only five passes but gained 184 yards, an average of 36.8 yards per reception.
