Harbaugh

I wouldn’t stand around either with 3 or 4 punks dancing in front of me either. Hats off to Harbaugh!

Yeah, the 18-22 year old kids may have been a little immature in the moments after winning a big football game. I just expect a grown man to rise above it and show respect to the opposing coach. And if he doesn't like players from top teams celebrating, maybe he should figure out ways to win those games.

Maybe you just don’t like Harbaugh. I see nothing wrong with walking away from a potential toxic moment. Maybe Harbaugh has or will reach out to Mullen to explain his actions.

I don't like or dislike Harbaugh. I just thought he looked bad in this situation. And I don't buy the "toxic situation" created by kids dancing and celebrating a huge bowl win to be a legitimate excuse for not shaking Mullen's hand. Especially when his players did the exact same thing when they beat Michigan State.

I think Harbaugh took it a little too personal as it could be viewed that Mullen was taking a little too much time getting there while monkeying around with his players. But Harbaugh should have waited it out just the same. But he is a weird bird. Wouldn't at all be surprised if he doesn't go back to the NFL as you know the wolves are about to start howling in Ann Arbor.

I watched the reaction and they way thebuf players were acting... I am not sure I would have waited around either. At least 2 players pointed right at him and started hopping on one leg as if attempting to mount a Monty python and the holy grail horse

The ones that matter are not howling yet. Part of that is because he is an alum. Part is that they excuse losing to Urban because they assume Urban is a major cheat. But if Harbaugh loses to the Buckeyes next year, as well as loses another 'big' game, the wolves will be howling. They will not settle for any coach who is owned in the big games.

Harbaugh arranged such magic at Stanford that I assumed he'd win big at Michigan. He may be a coach who is at his best when he has a chip on his shoulder, meaning when he is not at a large state school with a great football history.

Liked Harbaugh as a player back in the day, but don't think that he will ever get it done at Michigan...His own players apparently can't stand to play for him beyond the regular season as many declined to play in the bowl game against Florida...

Wouldn't surprise me if Harbaugh is coaching in the NFL in a few years because he just ain't getting it done in Ann Arbor....

You may well be right. Harbaugh might be best in a situation where he can play the "we have to fight for respect " card. Regardless, the game at OSU, and then the bowl game against UF, tells the Michigan folks that the man who they thought was going to put them back amongst the nation's elite is far from getting them there. Tough position for them as they thought that he had to be the answer. Maybe he gets a bit of a pass because they hope that Urban leaving will open the door against OSU. But you are right. Lose to OSU next year, and their will be hell to pay. And with a ton of NFL openings wouldn't surprise me if he leaves. Being reported the the Jets are coming after him. If he doesn't see potential for dramatic improvement next year, and I think anything less than being in playoff would be a disappointment, could easily see him packing his bags

Do you remember that first huge win at Stanford? They upset SoCal, when the Trojans looked to be the team of the century. He scored late when the game was won, and at the end Pete Carroll 'greeting' him asked, what his deal was in a needless score. Harbaugh said with a sneer: 'What's your deal?'

He loved being the underdog. He loved being told Stanford could not do it because of being a private school and not huge and not having a big football history.
