Today, I caught some of the women's walk race. And a line from The Big Bopper's Chantilly Lace popped up and would not go away: a wiggle in the walk.

I've watched entirely too much women's volleyball during the Olympics, and not even the beach kind. I was glued to the China-Netherlands match last night.

You're really dating yourself with the Big Bopper reference LOL. I know the song despite being maybe 15-20 years your younger. Had to laugh at this clip on YouTube: the crowd is clapping along, but on 1 and 3 instead of 2 and 4. Hahahaha:

I like Beach Volleyball...FSU and Southern Cal played in the NCAA Finals this year...ESPN3 covers some of the matches.

I don't that think the ACC fields another team...the SEC has LSU, Bama. USCe, and Miss State fielding a team.

The only positive value Title IX can have is to increase women's beach volleyball. Obviously, Dook women are too unattractive on average to deserve a team, and GT women are far too nerdy, but us, Miami, Clemson, UVA, and Notre Dame should have teams to try to take on FSU.

Dick Clark was truly young then.

The Big Bopper also wrote 'White Lightning,' which was a huge hot for George Jones and may be my favorite song about monshining. I think Jones's version was released the week before the plane crash that killed Richardson (Big Bopper), Richie Valens, and Buddy Holly.

And now I'm watching men's volleyball. I think I have a problem.

It's okay because: It's the US versus Russia.

It's not okay because: It's only the bronze medal match.

Fantastic finish. The US comes back from two sets down to even the match, then goes on to win with a handful of incredible points in the decisive third set. USA takes the bronze in men's volleyball.

I did see Brasil beat Italy in 3 straight. The Italians served terribly.
