I see Hatton is back practicing. Who do ya'll think is better for that position as a starter, Hatton or Prince?

is he slightly more excellent in pass pro, run or both? I wasn't all that impressed going off the uga gm, watched a replay. But didn't pay as much attention to the other gms

Yeah, but look at who Prince has had to block in the three games since, versus who Hatton blocked in game one. Apples and oranges.

I did notice Prince being pretty rough with Pitt's #6 who is like 325 or something. It will be interesting to see what happens with that position going fwd.

I'm sure Hatton could have blocked Illinois and JMU's DTs pretty well. And while Pitt's pass rush is stout, it's their DEs that are their ballers (Heck struggled mightily with Ejuan Price).

Prince has more physical tools than Hatton to play OG. Hatton is barely over 6'2" and has short arms, which isn't a major concern for a C. He is a little stiff and not super athletic. But, Hatton seems to understand his assignments better and has a nasty streak that you are either born with or you aren't. So, I would think that Hatton is slightly better when the gameplan is to run the ball the majority of the time, but Prince would be better if we are going to be throwing the ball.

Soo like I said, Hatton but not because he's overly excellent

Gameplan against Pitt, give me Prince. If our gameplan is to ever be run heavy, then Hatton might be the choice. Physically, Prince is equipped to deal with larger DTs in both the run and pass games. Long story short, Kap is earning his money this year.
