I’ve always thought that the better measure of attendance was the percentage of the capacity amount that showed up. In other words, how many people came to the game divided by how many people could have come to the game. By using just the overall number you penalize teams who have a smaller arena. That being said, it’s nice to have one more thing we can add to the list of ways we beat state.

The official release has what you are talking about, as well as some other averages.

It makes sense we'd get #1, because we got the furthest in the tournament and we are usually top 10 in these attendance NCAA rankings. When you do the average, we are #4, which is still really good.
