Just looked at the current odds for the bowl game. Heels +3
is the line I'm seeing. I am a little surprised since Baylor
has had tons of injuries and they lost 3 of their last 4 games.
I would assume that one of their top two QB's will be ready
for the game.

That's crazy. I thought the Heels would have been as much as a 5 point favorite. We may lose by 20. But there is no way we should be the underdog going into that game. I know Vegas creates the lines for all sorts of reasons, but I'd like to hear how they came up with that number. Odd.

That's a change already cause first line I saw yesterday had UNC a 3 pt favorite

I saw that too and when I read the OP, I went and checked and sure enough, it had us as a +3.5. So I just chalked up what I saw yesterday as my eyes playing tricks on me. I'm glad you saw the same thing. So would that indicate that when the line came out that every gambler in the world immediately placed a bet on Baylor?

JUMP ON THE HEELS NOW. It will be a 'pick' by game time.

Bleed, my rule has been that I don't bet real money on a game involving the Heels. I may have to make an exception. Just read that Jarrett Stidham is expected to be back at QB for Baylor. Bettors/vegas
must think that gives them an edge.

That's a joke. Their top two QB's aren't playing and from what I heard it was gonna be the WR again. IF our boys are willing to play this game, we'll beat 'em good.

Just extra motivation for our boys. I hope they seize on all the lack of respect they will get from here on out and use it to their advantage.

We seem to be at our best this year when thinking in that manner. I saw the tweets complaining about our bowl, and while I think we probably got the bowl we deserved, hopefully our guys will try to prove on the field that they belonged in the New Year's Eve (or whatever it's called), win, and give us a boost to start next year's rankings. A lot of them will be back. If we can get that and also beat UGA we'll be in great shape.

That's funny, I'm the opposite. I feel like my knowledge of UNC bball and football gives me a strong advantage so I primarily make my 'real bets' on UNC games. And yes that includes sometimes betting against them, which I have no problem doing.

Admittedly I've only seen Baylor a couple times but I feel like UNC will be motivated and focused and will win by 7-10 pets.

Plus, the WR who played almost the whole game vs. Texas did so after the 3rd team QM was knocked out. I think the 3rd teamer will play in the bowl.

Baylor's offense may be clicking when we meet.
Jarrett Stidham the backup was a 4* #2 rated dual threat QB in the 2015 class.

Completely agree. I know the most about UNC bball and football compared to any other teams in the country, so I feel like I should be placing my wagers where my knowledge is greatest. I too have no problem betting against the Heels, or betting unders (which effectively means I'm betting against UNC points).

That said, I never bet enough money against the Heels to sway my rooting interest. I'm able to separate bets with fandom, so even if I have some coin on the other side, I'm still always rooting for UNC.

Just a little advice from an old timer. Don't bet on college sports unless you are looking to piss away money. That being said, I expect UNC to win by 10-14 points. ACC gets no respect in FB. Go kick their ass.

3rd string QB Chris Johnson will start for the Bears in the bowl game. He was concussed early in the Texas game.

Chris Johnson player profile

Johnson has appeared in 7 games this season for Baylor. He's gone 15 of 38 (39.5%) for 220 yards with 3 TDs and 2 INTs. That's an average of only 5.8 yards per attempt but a whopping 14.7 yards per completion. In other words, he doesn't complete many passes but when he does they're big gainers.

Sounds about right. #1 Corey Coleman is their #1 option and a scoring threat anytime he touches the ball. Going to have to lock him down AND put pressure on their QB. Their RB Shock Linwood is also a threat to score anytime he touches the ball. A tough downhill runner with speed burst to boot. Think hybrid Hood/Logan. If their starting QB could've stayed healthy, they would've competed (and IMO beat Oklahoma) and been in the playoff. Tough test for the Heels but I believe that Carolina will prevail by 3-7 points.

Looks like the Unc/Baylor game is off of the board right now. With all the guys now out for Baylor, I guess that Vegas needs a little time to handicap a new line.

This is 100% true ... go kick some ass UNC! Win this game and cap off a great season ... a win also builds momentum for recruiting and for your season next year which is loaded with some outstanding teams.

BU starting 3rd st QB. Shock Linwood out for the game too. Also AA wr Belitnikoff winner Corey Coleman s out from surgery.

Easy pickins right guys? No, Baylor will dominate most teams anyway. Talking by Tarheels was the easy part. Time for tha walking. Your team better bring their track shoes!

Don't lose the baby's milk money betting against the Baylor Bears! MAMA Won't be happy! This is big boy football team from the Big12!

Hate to hear that anybody is injured. I guess we'll see in few days wont we? And it's two words: Tar Heels. Thanks for stopping by. Here's to a good game.

GO HEELS!

Baylor football is a far cry from big boy football. You are the team that's been all talk since coming onto the scene.

Is this the same Baylor team that has lost 3 of its last 4 games, including a loss to Texas? Because you sound like you're talking about some other team.

In the Texas game, Johnson went out early due to concussion.

Johnson, their 3rd string QB, beat then undefeated OkSt in his first game starter and then took TCU into two OTs in a one score loss. We may very well win, but I've seen Baylor play and their talent is closer to CU than any of our other opponents this season and they play hard. This will be a battle in all likelihood.
