1,000 career rebounds ain't too shabby! To be exact, only 8 other players have done it in their Carolina career.....well sir, tonight, you made #9!

1 Tyler Hansbourgh 1,219
2 Sam Perkins 1,167
3 George Lynch 1,097
4 Billy Cunningham 1,062
5 Brice Johnson 1,061
6 Antawn Jamison 1,027
7 Mitch Kupchak 1,006
8 Brad Daugherty 1,003
9 Kennedy Meeks 1000

Great job Kennedy! Great transformation over the years. 1000 and counting for his career. To put it into some context, Bolden had 26 this entire season!

4 more games and he'll likely pass Antawn for # 6 all time.... that's rare air, esp when you think he shared the paint with Brice for 3yrs!

Can't say how proud I am of Kennedy for all the hard work he's put in. He's been our rock in the middle all year. Congrats on joining the 1,000 rebound club. He's a Tar Heel through and through.

What if he could have factored his sick time and injury time over his sophomore and junior year. He is a polished player this year, and a true leader.

Thank you Kennedy. You are a great Heel. I also bet he is one of guys who continues to return to home games.

A guy who's battled inconsistency for various reasons his entire career and quietly was our most consistent player this season.

Congrats to Big Kennedy. He persevered and kept improving. His senior season has been the payoff for all the hard work. He's now 35 all time in scoring, 9th in rebounding, 11th in blocks. Pretty damn good for a kid who continually got rations of crap from a lot of Heels fans for 3 years.

Also, he's on the verge of the Top 30 in Career Rebounds in the ACC:

1 Dickie Hemric Wake Forest 1802
