Hey TarHeelNation11

How'd the GMAT go? You sober up by test time?
I asked the proctor to hold my beer since they wouldn't let me in the testing room with it.

I did better than I did the first time, but not the range I was hoping to achieve. The journalist in you will be happy to know that I scored in the 91st percentile in verbal (and honestly I would've done better but ran out of time). I did not score in the 91st percentile in math..........lol.

We'll see if it's good enough to get me into UNC's Masters of Accounting program.

I'm assuming you plan on doing it online?
Yes. I'd love to go back up to Chapel Hill to do the on-campus version, but financially it just doesn't make any sense. I'd have to forsake a full-time job go go up there and do it....and the best I could hope for is like a part-time restaurant job up there while taking classes.

I was hesitant about doing online because I figured it wouldn't look as good on an application, but I did a lot of research on it and UNC assured me you get everything out of the online version that you'd get out of the on-campus version, including the networking...which is the most important part.

Is it UNC or bust for you or are you considering another school as a back up?

With technology the way it is, I can't see any added value to continuing education on campus. For undergrad, it's different. A college experience teaches you a lot of things outside of the curriculum. But with continuing ed, you've been there and done that.

Speaking of online, Liberty University here in Lynchburg just went over 100,000 online students. Whoa.
