Lunardi has us facing Scott Cherry's High Point team in the opening round. Obviously that could change. But that would be both fun and a shame. A shame because we would presumably abuse them pretty badly.

At the moment High Point is tied with Winthrop and seeded #1 in the Big South with all regular season games played. I guess Lunardi expects them to win the tournament.

Lunardi has UAB and Monmouth in other brackets.

I thought the Big South was a three team tie...HP, Winthrop, and UNC-Asheville...but then I did not read on the week-end games/outcomes.

Okay so it is HP and Winthrop on top, UNC-Asheville slipped to tie 3rd over the week-end.

I actually like that bracket a lot. The only concerns is Iowa at the 4 and OU at the 2. Other than that, I'd take it.

Interesting that Lunardi has us back to a 1, even as of today. He usually is pretty good about this stuff given his years of work following how the selection committee "thinks". I read into us and UVA being ones in his eyes that the ACC is getting big time credit as a tough conference this year, and the Big East and Big Ten, not so much.

I wondered about that.
