We are building a house right now near Saxapahaw and our choices of coverage seem to be either ATT DSL at 1.5MPS or pay Time Warner $20,000 to run broadband to the house. Obviously neither of these is particularly appealing. HughesNet seems ok, but data is capped at 20GB per month and our house averages about 200GB (I have 2 teenage daughters).

I have been doing some research and came across these guys secure.unlimitedville.com/plans Anyone know anything about this? I understand that this would be using a mobile hotspot and thus would limit the number of devices which could be used at one time, but seems to be the best option I can find.

Anyone have any experience getting decent interwebz when living in the sticks?

71, one of my best friends recently moved down to Cairo, Ga., i.e. the most middle of nowhere place you can be. I know he had to hunt for internet that was reliable because the cable company doesn't run cable (or whatever it's called) to their residence. I'll ask him what he ended up using.
