Joe Wolf was a classic Tar Heel: always team-first, always hustling in all parts of the game to help the team win.
Joe Wolf was simply one of the best to ever suit up for us well respected and much loved. I wish peace to his family as the big man has now moved on to his eternal peace. The one thing that every religion fully believes and agrees on is that death is not the end, it is simply the end of the beginning. Blessed travels Joe.
Hearing about Joe Wolf's passing hits hard. As a Tar Heel, Joe was a versatile and relentless forward who gave everything on the court, embodying the spirit of Carolina basketball. He was a key part of those Dean Smith teams that taught us what it meant to play with heart and hustle. Every time we lose a player from that era, I can’t help but feel like a part of my youth fades with it. I miss Dean even more in moments like this.
