He coaches fundamentally sound, system oriented, teams who excel on defense and offense - yeah and they with over 70% of their games!He coaches collegiate players - try to name his list of O-A-D's He coaches players for careers - very few transfers out of his program He doesn't do ads, doesn't coach foreign teams, He's really not into hoopla - just the hoops. His players don't swear when interviewed, or use racial slurs. Instead they just mess around with the stenographer, rolling out words that 90% of us would struggle to spell. He doesn't get a lot of press, and what he does get is never bad.So, after 31 years as a head coach he'll line up for his first shot at a National title.

Here's one heel fan who'll be pulling for Bo in a couple of days.

Even though they beat the Heels,this team is fun to watch and had the toughest road to get to the title game.Go Badgers...Beat the crap out of those Dookies.

He seems a tough, grizzled, coaching veteran - I'm sure a lot of opposing fans feel that way about those sorts of guys.

He doesn't seem to like Roy and recently took a shot at our 'scandal'. So he can kiss it. He is an ignorant prick as far as I'm concerned. However, I hope they hammer Duke Monday. I'm a huge fan of Dekker anyway. I think he will be the best player drafted next year.

Then he takes his little dig about Wisky having no "paper classes" Then come to find out they offer SEVERAL!

The Ryan comment about the classes had nothing to do with UNC. A typically UNC-hating tweeter edited to make it seem so.

Ryan surely wanted an in state player like Tokoto stay home. But can you see any way that Tokoto could play more than 7 or 8 mionutes per game for this Wisky team? Ryan values fundamentally sound play. That aint Tokoto, not close. Tokoto is all flash and flair, with very little substance, certainly very little consistent substance.

That and the fact that Ryan got Koenig suggest that his thoughts on Roy are not likely to be anything close to hate. They are more likely to be a type of gratitude for Roy failing to get the better team college basketball player from Wisconsin HS basketball.

Is this a rampant problem in college basketball that I was unaware of? LOL. [Edited to add: Never mind. Hadn't seen the post-game comments from Harrison. Wow!! ] Ryan does do endorsements, by the way. They're just not national spots.

In any event, Go Badgers! K shouldn't even be in the running for another title until somebody in Indianapolis tells us why they were allowed to use an ineligible player in the last one.

Roy alluded to their pace and style of play a few years back (in contrast to the way he liked to play) holding the game back, which is probably accurate. The Badger people didn't care for it, which I get. The comment about academic stuff was unnecessary and I can't see how it wasn't aimed at UNC. However, I really like their team and wish them nothing but success tonight.
