regarding impact on various teams or the parity or the product on the field, etc, what do you think about the rule? Thanks blazers.
It helps teams that could win fairly big if they could get that player or two needed at a key position. What type of teams / programs does it help more?
Hard to help Bama or Ohio St get richer.I don't like it.
IF we can get big leads it will allow reps our frosh dt which will be nice... Give them some film and live action. Same w the QBs and Barnes.
That would be nice, but I think it will make the rich richer.
Wide open.Somebody help me here. I've been looking but haven't found anything that suggests there are any restrictions on the 4-game redshirt. For example, you can play 4 games and still redshirt *only if* one of the following applies: the player becomes injured, no more than two conference games, etc. Are there any restrictions at all or is the rule wide open?
Depends on whether or not we can get a big lead. And depends on who is the backup. Example, If elliot starts, and were are up big vs ecu, do we play surratt or Ruder/Fortin?I think this will be extremely helpful at the QB spot this year assuming Fed takes advantage. Most people seem to think that our returning QB's aren't a long term answer. If one of them wins the starting position, I'm hoping Fed will still get Ruder some minutes to see how he does. If it looks like he's not there yet he can still keep the red shirt on him. The question is, will Fed take advantage of that?
If the other QB's aren't performing then the size of the lead shouldn't matter and the new rule gives you a chance to play everyone on the depth chart with no consequences. Figure out the order using in game experience.Depends on whether or not we can get a big lead. And depends on who is the backup.
