Well, when I go out with friends now, we each pay for our own stuff, so probably continue to do that. It would be nice if that friend picked up the tab from time to time, but I wouldn't expect them to do it all the time. It might be a little irritating if they did it all the time, but only after about 10-12 times.

I went out to dinner the other night with 3 buddies and we ran up a $300 bill. One of the guys was actually in town on a business trip so he picked up the tab and expensed it. That didn't suck.

Depends on the friend. I have a few friends were one of us routinely picks up the check and it sort of balances out. We don’t ask to split checks or get paid back.

But I have other friends who are cheap as shit.

I mean, if he won that kind of cash then it wouldn't bother me. It wouldn't bother me if he didn't of course but if I had that kind of money I would always pick it up so I would understand it.
