Remember the freshmen class of: Phelps, Reese, Sullivan, Montross and Rozier (who would transfer to Louisville later). Or the class Matt Doherty brought in of: Felton, McCants and May. What about McInnis, Wallace and Stackhouse and more recently the group of: Berry, Pinson and Jackson. There are probably more great classes but these are some that quickly come to mind.

But the question is where will this most recent class rank in close comparison to some of the classes of the past? What do you think?

And you didn’t even mention the class of Lawson, Ellington and BWright - all top 10 guys. And we also brought in Deon, Will Graves and Alex Stepheson, who didn’t pan out for us but was still ranked in the top 50.
Best thing about that class was that e were able to keep Ty and Wayne for 3yrs and had Deon for 4, wish we could have held on to Alec, I think he could have been much better playing for Roy for 4yrs.

On Paper this is an amazing class but we have to wait and see how it plays out. Of course everyone is going to be buzzed about Cadeau and Jack but me, I am more stoked for Brown. I think he will be the guy from this class that brings us the most value because I see him as a guy that is likely to be here for 4yrs and just get better with each season, like Bacot has.

Both Cadeau and Jackson could reclass if they wanted to do so. We may not know how the 2024 class will look until the end of the summer when we know for sure if everybody is staying in their class.

As of today, I think that this is what happens for next season. Of course we lose Leaky and Nance. Caleb declares. Bacot comes back for his fifth year. Cadeau reclassifies and comes in with Simeon and Zayden. So we have Bacot, RJ, Puff, Washington, Dunn, Trimble, Nickel, Shaver, Wilcher, High, Cadeau. I think that either Styles or McKoy will transfer and we either pick up someone from the portal or Ian Jackson reclassifies as well

I would love it!

Let's see if it stands, but Jackson pretty much shot down reclassing to 23 during his commitment.

I hope one of them reclasses from 2024, we could use the help.

My guess for 2024 starting lineup is freshman, RJ, Puff/Dunn, transfer, Bacot. Dunn/Puff, Trimble, Wilcher, Washington, Nickel all could be in the rotation.

The 1990 recruiting class (at the time) was probably the most loaded and best ever. Didn’t all pan out but they got a Natty in ‘93 (minus Rozier).

Phelps
Reese
Sullivan
Rozier
Salvadori
Montross

Great class!
Queens, Bronx, North Jersey, Florida, Pittsburgh, and Indiana.
All except for Rozier, have big moments that are seared in my mind.
They supported a final four team in 1991, matured a bit in 1992 with that huge upset W over Laettner/Hurley/Hill, national championship in 1993…
And quite possibly the most disappointing ending to a Carolinas season in 1994.

After GG experience I will get excited when they get on campus. Sucks that you have to continue to keep recruiting guys after they sign. I hate the whole reclassifying thing almost as much as NIL. I'll go back to yelling from the porch now.

I can't see a reclass at this point, unless we are blindsided by a departure of either Dunn or Trimble.
I do think Loves goes pro ( whatever that is) but fully expect Davis, Dunn, Trimble and Wilcher to be the 4 man rotation in the backcourt.
Davis and Dunn are my starters, but I can see more 3 guard lineups in the future with all the guard talent on hand.

I think McKoy ( Grad transfer) and Styles straight transfer are both gone.
I think the only way Cadeau reclass is if R.J. goes pro, which is highly unlikely.
