How far will UNC go up in the rankings with both Marquette and Kansas losing today?

Not sure. But we dropped from 9th to 10th in the NET bc of some of the other ACC teams lost. dook us now ahead of us in the NET.
Dook jumps 4 spots and UNC drops one. Looking like Duke will be a one seed.
The NET is just 1 factor, UNC is still ahead of Dook in the positioning of 1 seeds, but the final regular season game could flip that.
Interesting stat in the past 21/22 years there has only been 3 times that a team not ranked in the top 3 in KENPOM has win the title. (Syracue 2003, Uconn 2011, Uconn 2024). Sheesh KENPOM 👀
Dook is currently 7 and UNC sits at 10. Houston, Purdue, Uconn, Arizona top 4.
Dook has absolutely no chance of being a one seed in the NCAA tournament
Well if you're using KenPom stats that are calculated at the end of every season, of course the NCAA champion is going to be ranked highly.
Not all of them were 1 seeds, most were. In Kenpoms top 3 who went on to be champs it included two 2 seeds, a three seed, and a four seed. Uconn last year was a 4 seed, but top 3 in Kenpom. To hit top 3 at that % is very impressive to me.
He routinely outperforms the actual seeding. Florida Atlantic or UNC two years ago as well are recent examples.
This just in from ESPN: Duke has moved into the #1 position on the college rankings due to unprecedented play on behalf of Flip. A quote from his coach: "Heck the kid was out there all night long on one knee, the other one completely shot. We deserve the ranking."
