Rankings don't win games, but the buzz is fun. The class is nearing half-full with 11 commits. 4 are 4*.
There are lots of spots open at DL and LB, and tons of 4* guys that seem interested:

Myles Murphy
KBJ
Desmond Evans
Trenton Simpson
Kaba (4 star on other sites)
Jacolby Cowan

All of the above are being chased by national powers. And we're clearly courting lots of 3* guys like AJ Beatty, Quentin Williams, Sean Martin, Cedric Gray, etc, so none of the 4* are a lock.

WR coach still wants 4* Mushin Muhammed or Keandre Lambert.

OT Aaryn Parks and a few 4* DBs from virginia are still on the list too.

If we we strike it rich would be could land 10 total imo. UGA, SCar, Tenn, Miami and maybe Clemson could come calling for some of these guys though for the typical NC->out-of-state heartbrake and I could see just landing as few as 2 more too.

Isn't there a possibility of one of the new TE's getting bumped up to 4*?

That could help us get to ten. I think it will be 8 if he doesn't get bumped up, or 9 if he does.

I also think we will get two 5* players.

Who are the 2?

Desmond Evans and one other. I was looking at our prospects the other day on TOS and there was another five star I thought we had a shot at. I think it was a WR

How many 4* are there in the country? I've seen the "ESPN 300" for the last several years. I know that there are about 65 power conference teams. I'll guess that we get eight 4* and one 5*. We've picked up some 3* commitments this week so my guess for 4*s is slightly lower than it would have been last week. Sorry to waste your time. Just the thoughts of a fan. I always hope for four of the top ten in the state and twelve of the top thirty. My national goal is ten in the ESPN300

Four of top ten seems doable.

IMO it's very likely that we get at least 5 of the top 13 in NC, including #1 and #5.

Just playing around with the "class calculator" on TOS, we could get to one 5* and ten 4*'s if we get all of our high choice guys
