Howell on campus today

If he flips then who transfers? I don’t see everybody staying.

Who is leaving? He has not won the job yet.

Fortin and Ruder will fight it out and the loser might leave from that. Howell can RS next year as long as we do have the bad injury luck again for the 3rd straight year

I would assume that both Fortin and Ruder are ready to get to Spring to show what they can do. The one thing I do wonder about is if native Kansan Ruder is feeling any pull to return home to play for a new coach. I have no idea whether his fandom, and that of his dad, leans KU or K-St, but both have new coaches who are intriguing. I would not want to play QB for Les Miles, but Klieman at K-St would interest me.

I used to drive through Ruder's hometown of Norton going back to Colorado from Nebraska. I was surprised Frost did not pursue him for Nebraska.

Ruder might not like Kstate, who knows. Mizzou might be an option since Bryant leaves this time next year.

If Ruder does not beat out Fortin and he loves UNC...safety or LB could be in his future.

QB in college is much harder than QB in HS. I wouldn't bet a dime trying to predict who of the 3 would start vs SCar.

But of the three, surely one will be pretty solid in 2019.

Sam Howell is the 3rd rated pro style QB in this class. If we get him the odds are that he wins the starting job. He was a part of the elite 11 QB camp. LIKE MITCH TRUBISKY.

They will win more games next year. Would be hard not to improve, even if Fedora were still in charge. But still a long way from championship team. Go with Howell and build with him. If a dog's going to bite, it bites as a pup

Ruder and Fortin are still pups too. They still have four years of eligibility.

I was thrilled as soon as Mack Brown was announced. He has done wonders already with the staff he has selected. Kids are already responding to this. The flips of the best NCSU offensive lineman and QB Sam Howell tell you all you need to know. Admittedly the class Doeren has signed at State is outstanding but once Mack has plenty of time to recruit these kids UNC will get their share of the elite NC talent. Also Pack is up against Clemson which is a totally different animal and the side of the ACC UNC is on is a total train wreck. If you are decent you get to the ACC title game.

We will sweep State aside quicker than at realize. State is a fraud. Built a respective record against cupcakes. As bad as UNC struggled, it took all State had to win in OT.

Yeah, not a real impressive schedule. ECU and FSU were not good this year. That’s why losing to ECU 41-19 hurt so badly.
