Once again Hubs proves he is a master recruiter and talent evaluator! They are elite talents and team first and high character.
It will be a disappointment if he has a Leaky Black type of career. The comparisons are there in regards to defense, and winning IQ and effort plays. But he will have played to his floor if the offensive games are similar. Powell is much better on that end of the floor, and his ball skills and shooting ability have really grown over the past year. Drake is a five-star, and five-stars end up being first round draft picks.
Drake Powell is far closer to Theo Pinson than Leaky Black, and he's ranked better than both.
Powell's jumpshot seems to be getting better and better. I suspect his improved offense is the reason he's risen to a top 10 ranking.

Leaky is much better than you seem to be giving him credit for, and that's not to say Drake won't be.

I did a poor job of explaining then. Leaky was a great defender, and I think Drake can be as well. I think there could be a big difference offensively however.
Drake's steep learning curve, work ethic, and coachability coupled with his physical attributes seem to indicate he is going to thrive as a Tar Heel! Defense even close to Leaky's added to any type of scoring could be special in college! I expect him to continue to improve based on how far he has already grown! This young man will be a problem for opponents!
