It is a long season and like a roller coaster ride there are going to be tremendous highs after some great wins and some lows after a loss. Like many on here I have been following the Carolina sports teams for over 50 years and I try not to get too high after a win or too depressed after a loss but instead just enjoy the excitement of the ride year after year. This year's squad reminds me a bunch of the 2009 team. Berry has the toughness of Lawson, does not mind taking the big three late and is very active on defense. Paige reminds me of Ellington with his smooth jumper when it is on. Johnson is not Hansbrough in total toughness down low but like Tyler he will always look to score on the blocks and can hit his free throws. Jackson is like a Green clone going to the hole, hitting the occasion jumper and leading the pack on breaks. Meeks like Thompson is not looking for headlines but doing the dirty work of scoring down low, rebounding and doing what ever it takes to help the team win.I am not giving up on this team or wavering the white flag because these young men representing the University of North Carolina are doing everything they can and I will do everything I can to support all the sports programs.
