We're the #1 seed. In our half of the bracket we have these good teams

Duke
Notre Dame
Syracuse
Pitt

Virginia is the #2 seed. In their half of he bracket they have these good teams

Miami

WTF?

If Miami stumbles, Virginia pays nobody on the way to the championship game.

True... but then neither Clemson nor GA Tech are not gonna be easy outs for anybody.

The good thing about our half of the bracket is that we stand a good chance to avenge losses to Notre Dame and Virginia. Or, if not Notre Dame, to have a tie-breaker with Duke. I'm sure we'd all like those opportunities. Just as long as they don't turn into "be careful what you wish for" scenarios.

I would like nothing better than to play ND --- revenge for last year's ACCT, revenge for this season, and that would mean they beat dook --- 3 birds with one proverbial stone. :D

There are Zero easy outs in this tournament with the exception of BC and maybe Wake and even they could sneak up on somebody. There is little difference between the top and the bottom of the ACC. There is a big difference in record but the games in the ACC are all competitive and teams with the better records simply executed better down the stretch of most of their games.

BC almost beat NCSU at NCSU. Sure should've won. I see NCSU as a favorable draw, mailing it in for sure.

The team with the best chance in the opening round is probably FSU. They have decent talent but, as often happens with Hamilton's teams, don't quite seem to know how to put it together. A dangerous NIT team.

If they win 2 games, they'll have a 20-win season. Could that get them to the Big Dance?

Syracuse who we disected their zone to pieces in the first game - beat twice.

Pitt - who we blew out big time.

Notre Dame - a team we lost to on the road and felt we gave the game away.

Duke - 1-1with and who we would love nothing more to go up 2-1 on.

Love our bracket.

Playing the stronger teams also gives quality wins which is more beneficial for claiming a 1 seed.

Yeah, and not that bs 1 seed out west.

Only seed which concerns me is released next Sunday. We damn sure better not be in Kansas's bracket.

Another reason to go secure a 1 seed, that would eliminate that matchup until at least the FF.

I know a lot depends on other teams tourney's, but I feel if we at least make the ACCT final, we end up a 1 seed. Didn't the latest Lunardi projections have us and UVA as 1's?

Yep with UVa getting the South Region #1 while the Heels were being shipped out West. LOVE to meet and beat the Hoos in the Final making sure we don't get shipped.

It's hilarious that the third ranked team in the ACC will be a higher seed than the number one ranked team, unless we get to the finals and beat them.

Roy makes it pretty clear he does not care about winning ACCT. I do have the feeling we will have to win it to get a number 1 seed especially if we play Virginia in the championship game.

I like being ACC reg season champs and National champs more than ACCT champs.

If we had to beat ND and Duke I would say our bracket is harder.

I think he'll care MORE this year because of Marcus and Brice. We're gonna win it!!

No matter what team you face, you gotta win, otherwise you're watching for the rest of the tournament.
Sounds simple, but it works.

I'd rather be the 2 in Xavier or Villanova's region than the 1 out West, less travel & I think we handle either of them......provided we take care of business to get to them.

I do NOT want Notre Dame at all!! Last 2 times we played them we have been Ref-Rolled HARD. They have been "magically" granted 42 more FTs than us last two times we met. The refs flat out STOLE last years ACC Championship from us. We got 7 measly FT attempts for the entire game. The Irish were awarded 32! The $&^*!$#! Golden Domers fix is most definitely IN!

Roy made the comments about the ACCT years ago and they have been since taken out of context to boot.

Whoever got the 1 seed was going to have the tougher schedule because of the way the brackets fell. That's ok though. My wife and little girl are going out of town next weekend so it sure would be nice if I had a UNC ACCT game to watch Saturday night.

Oh yeah... I almost forgot that somehow we have to be doomed again...?!

UNC will be ready to PLAY!

Trust me I get what was said and how things can be taken out of context, but why would this team put to much pressure on themselves to win the ACCT? By that I am saying if someone has a "slight sprain" why would Roy play them huge minutes when we are in a great position to win a National Championship. We are coming off an emotional revenge game against Duke and an ACC reg season title. Roy can say what he wants, but we all have been following him for years. He aint going to be crying if we don't win it I promise you. Anyway hope we do win it but not at the expense of draining our players for the big dance.

I think we need to take down UVa or UVa get taken down in the ACCT for us to get the #1 seed in the south. Don't like us having to go out west, rather be a 2 seed in the east or south than a 1 seed in the west.

For the ACCT, our side is IMO harder than the path UVa has, Miami has been struggling a bit of late, we have FSU/Duke/Syracuse on our side of the bracket. 3 very different type teams and all 3 present a different type of challenge.
