I hate Clemson!

were not bad guys....

2 of the best times I have had was in Death Valley...Nice people and a great place to watch a game....If the Tigers are not playing UNC I pull for them....

And FTR, I am against any type of social media ban. Players have the right to be regular 18-22 year-olds off the field.

Be honest, those of you who want it banned desire that for selfish reasons, not for the players' sake.

I've been to one game there -- FSU in 2003 -- and had a great time. Those folks know how to football. I have a (terrible cell phone) picture of me rubbing Howard's Rock after the game.

I almost always pull for Clemson. It's bittersweet, though, because they have killed us in recruiting for years.

Nailed it. I don't want them doing something stupid to make the team or school look bad, but they deserve the benefit of the doubt.

By the way, the first person to mention Marvin Austin gets shot in the face.

Not a big fan of the Tigers, but I hate them far less than many other ACC schools. Absolutely one of the best game day atmospheres of any where in college football. At least that I've been too, which is actually a large number.

Clemson fans love Clemson so much here in Transylvania County that one of their local fans had to chip off a piece of Howard's Rock for proof of his loyalty....Of course, he was prosecuted, and threatened with 20yrs jail time before cooler heads prevailed down in Pickens County...Imagine if he had been a Tar Heel fan, or worse yet a Gamecock fan who had tarnished and damaged the fabled Howard's Rocks instead of a Clemson fan....lol!

Yeah, we have to put up with those kind of Clemson crazies every now and then around this part of North Carolina, but most of them ain't quite that crazy....

I have always been treated well at clemson,Death valley is awesome...Wish Carolina fball fans were that rabid.Only fans that I have had any problems with and it was minor btw,was drunks, but that's anywhere you go that sells alcohol.

I guess it would be fair to call it selfish. But its also selfish when a guy posts something dumb that nullifies the hard work of the other 80 guys in the locker room by getting them a bowl ban. We've already seen that first hand. Having or not having social media won't change the fact that they are nothing like regular 18-22 year olds off the field anyways. They have a celebrity status on campus, and are simultaneously under significantly more scrutiny. That's a bad combination for a 18-22 year old.

Its a sacrifice. I'm sure a lot of the older guys and most of the more committed players are completely behind it. Giving up social media is a small cost for eliminating some pretty serious risks. And it's just one more thing to bring the players together.

Have to pull for them I have a daughter that plays in the band. The good news though she's is still a Tar Heel. When she moved in and unpacked she had a wardrobe full of light blue that's my girl.

You guys just take care of those Dirt Peckers in Columbia and all of CU will love you! If you run Switzer on a jet sweep and HUNH and their lack of depth and weight will kill them . Good Luck against them

I'm not going to hate a school and football program I respect because they have been proactive in trying to control a few idiots with phones. Remember where our problems became public ...social media.

As for walking a mudhole thru the wannabe peckerheads in Columbia, that has nothing to do with any University since they don't really have one.

The players themselves actually voted for the ban. I too will be a tarheel fan on September 3rd. My wife's dad and brother are tarheel fans. Nothing bad to say about them. Watch for usuck wolves coming over in sheep's clothing. Lame fanbases are always going to be lame fanbases.

That would be true if last year's DE's were still playing but they are not. I think that position will be fine with Lewis, Jones, Sawyer etc.

How ironic when one of your own is posting as "cocks4eva" and running his mouth.

Cannot argue that point. My point was that usc fans will come over showing nicey nice, but on the usc board, ZERO respect. cocks4eva, I dont even have an answer.

Yes they do that but I definitely dont. In fact when I saw that post on the SC rivals board I was defending UNC and saying how good their offense was. I think many of our fans have never seen UNC play but I have watched them. Heels lose almost nothing on offense and can score points. This will not be an easy game. If Chizik improves the D, they will be a better team this year.

No arguement. They put up 31 on us last year at home with that hurry up offense, but they had no answers on defense for Watson and crew. Switzer is like a waterbug, hard to catch. On my route to the valley, Im going to stop over in Charlotte on Thursday night to watch the game. I HONESTLY have no idea what to expect of usc's offense because of the QB position. On the other hand, no one knows how good the tar heel defense is going to improve. Good game to start the season.

We have no idea either how our offense will be. I mean there are a lot of question marks at this point. I feel like Wilds at RB will be solid. Cooper at WR and Adams at TE are good players. More concerned with that side of the ball at this point but time will tell.

Too many people attribute all our problems to players talking about it on social media. Th

Yeah, our pathetic defense last year made D. Watson look like a future Hall of Famer. But yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing Switzer, aka White Lightning, running all over the field in Charlotte for lots of big gainers ;)

My youngest son plays football with a kid whose mom is a Clemson grad and his 2 older brothers are there now. Dad talks about how much fun they have at every home game tailgating and how great the atmosphere is down there on game day. We've been invited to go with them to a game this year and I might just take them up on it.

I have been a (REAL) Carolina fan as far back as I can remember. Saw Phil Ford and LT both play in Chapel Hill, so that makes me older than a lot of you guys and I have NEVER had any hatred for Clemson. Matter of fact, I like Dabo and what he has done with that program and I dare say there are many places like Death Valley to take in a game.

And before the little Carolina fans start jumping in I will say I really don't have any animosity towards the chickens either. Can't say I care for Spurrier, but I didn't like him when he was at Florida so it has nothing to do with your school. I actually have a friend whose nephew plays baseball at SC and I really like their baseball program and respect what they have done the last several years.

Now, with all that said, I have no idea what to expect when we play. We are as much an enigma as I any program in the country. We have everything in place to be really good, but history hasn't been too kind where expectations for our team are concerned. I think we will be pretty dang good offensively and we had nowhere to go but up on defense. Still, there are a LOT of questions and I would bet a paycheck that Spurrier, whose hatred for UNC is well known, will have his kids ready to play. I think it could go either way, but I am hoping for a win for us.

i don't care what rival fans say on their own board as long as they aren't pricks on our board.
as to the game i hope it's decided by the players and not the officials.
GO CAROLINA.
