I just cooked bacon the way it should be cooked

I like it all ways but crispy a little better. I made some yesterday. I love to grill it actually, though one has to be careful doing that.

Yeah, I cooked it in the oven yesterday. When I cook a lot I do that. There are these bacon wrapped chicken and pork medallions I get at Kroger and when I grill them I'll grill the bacon though.

Soft, some fat still on the ends, no hint of crispiness.

Sounds chewy . . and I won't do chewy.

It's how I roll . .

I usually go in the oven too. But to cory's point, the grill is the best way to get bacon crispy in parts and still fatty and chewy on other parts. It's the best of both worlds.

Yeah, I only do a couple of pieces at a time usually (and not over the shields) since I'm cooking other stuff as well but it is really good that way.

As long as it's cooked I can eat it. There is no wrong way to cook bacon in my book.

I just warmed up a chicken thigh, shredded it, stuck it on a sandwich with Miracle Whip and bacon. Difficult to describe how good it was.

Oh, it was. The chicken was seasoned with this beer can chicken dry rub and cooked in the air fryer (which is a glorious invention).

Ranking methods of preparation:
1) fried in cast iron
2) griddle or other non-stick frying pan
3) grilled
4)oven roasted
5) microwaved
As to crispness, perfection reached when the bacon can be suspended between two fingers and the middle sags ever so slightly. Alas, I cannot find a suitable stock image and I haven't the time this evening to demonstrate it personally, but the picture below looks pretty darn close.
