My son just picked this up in SC for $1500. '98 Ultra Glide with 41k, but it needs a little engine work. Someone tried to build it and didn't get it quite right. Clean title. Everything works. Good rubber. The windshield bags are about $150 alone.

Fifteen hundred dollars.

Back in my hotel mgt days we had a white jeep cherokee with brand new bf goodrich tires abandoned in the parking lot with the keys under the mat. We would eventually discover that the owner from georgia had towed it there and met a buyer from virginia halfway. The buyer backed out and the seller said fuk it and left the car. When i first drove it it made horrible grinding noises, steering was horrible, and showed no oil pressure. Undoubtedly why the buyer backed out and why the seller said screw it. I put a storage lien on the car and went through the process of claiming the car through dmv. Takes like 3 mos. they contact the titled owner and give him the option of paying the lien and claiming it. He didnt. Took it to the shop and it needed a new oil pressure sensor and the new tires were too big and rubbing underneath ( causing the awful grinding noise and steering probs) It was in cherry condition. Cost me $150 to put it on the road after including selling the tires on it. Drove it for 5 yrs then gave it to my son who eventually sold it for $2000.

You couldn't pay me to ride a bike. Of course, I live in Florida where it might as well be a death sentence.

I don't get road bikes. What's the attraction? I get dirt bikes. That's fun. Getting some air on a jump or just cruising through the woods taking in the nature and whatnot. But for life of me, I don't get the attraction to going out on a busy road and battling cars for some space. People in cars don't respect bikers.

I'll tell you right up front that there are two kinds of bikers; those that have been down and the ones that are going. It's something you either love or have no business doing. I've been down hard twice and I don't have a clue how many "uh-ohs" and near misses. Seen some ugly ish. But as long as I can fork it I'm gonna.

I really don't enjoy riding at Bragg at all. There are too many bulletproof Joes that have been to war and don't think they can die flying around the joint. Kid on a crotch rocket died right in front of me going in one morning. Rear-ended a car and flew over the trunk headlong into the curb. Twenty-two years old and had already been to Afghanistan twice.

My issue down here in Florida is all the blue hairs. This state is littered with psychopathic, near blind drivers. If I lived in a more rural area, I could possibly see myself owning a bike.

I lived in Tampa for a few years. Dont remember much about it
