No, you mean Luke Maye will give up his scholarship to give us extra room. The NCAA will rule that UNC is entitled to an extra couple of scholarships for several years because of the abusive, libelous behavior of the NCAA. So we'll have a scholarship for Steere.
You heard it here first.
I know a lot of people are suggesting that, but I am uncomfortable with it. Maybe if he qualifies for some other legit scholarship. But he earned his bball scholarship and should keep it.No, you mean Luke Maye will give up his scholarship to give us extra room.![]()
Oh, I was just kidding. It seems to be everyone's favorite suggestion for us loading up on players. I actually met him today! Yep! I went to the volleyball game at Carmichael, and as I walked thru one of the tunnels to the stands he was there hanging out with a friend to watch the game. Was just the two of them, so I said "Hey Luke!"Wow gheel please do tell how that meeting came about. Nice guy?
Thanks bud. This is the type of stuff that I like to hear. Cuts the crap, for lack of a better word, if you know what I mean.Yep! Probably a bit weird to hear that from people you don't know. But I asked him how he was doing, if he was ready to start this year, and then if he'd take a photo with me. He obliged and that was that!
I've seen him a few times on campus, and he is very willing to talk if someone says hello. The best was when Malcolm Turner (president of the NBA D-League and a Carolina grad) gave a talk on campus last spring, and Luke was in the front row taking notes! Definitely seems the type to be some sort of sports administrator someday.
