I Would at this moment!!!!I. I went to bed with the dirty demons comfortably leading by 8 with less than a minute to go.....I had a dream and in it the dark side had lost..but you know I thought when I got up...well no way my dream is true..THEN I read where the collapse Of EPIC proportions had occurred. Is this a late April fools joke? It is True...I am ecstatic beyond words!!!!!!! the most arrogant spoiled entitled group of aholes has chocked the Game in a colossal one for the ages meltdown. All manner of 5 stars..huge cash to continue their many many years of buying g players...an adoring and obedient bunch of media ass kissers...all down the tube.... I love it love love it

I haven't seen this massive choke job yet but I will replay the last minute highlights over and over and over..Thank you cougars..thank you lord for this wonderful day...I will now venture over to a couple of the dirty demon ds it's and absolutely revel in their sheer misery

Har har har, me too!!! I fell asleep a little earlier than you and when I woke up, the game was over. I had no doubt at all that dook had won since I had already concluded that they would, very late in the game.

I got on my computer to check the time of the championship and wait, WHAT? Does this say Houston over dook? I kept looking at that to make sure I wasn't seeing things. I almost went through the ceiling because seeing us win is only marginally more satisfying than seeing dook lose, and that's with any game. For them to tank late like they did on their way to what I thought was a foregone conclusion...a national championship...is just downright soul-satisfying.

I was able to turn the TV back on and catch the replay and the postgame stuff. and as much as I miss seeing ratface's sour puss at times like this, I have to say was pretty impressed with the class that Scheyer showed in taking responsibility and acknowledging Houston, and of course giving his players appropriate love. I'm going to find it hard to dislike him as much as I did K.

Overall, I think this expresses how I feel...

That was one Dook game in which the Refs allowed the foe to get away with a bunch of fouls, 3 or 4 of them very rough and/or obvious, while making at least a couple very questionable foul calls on Dook. And that decided the game more than anything else.
They also missed the kick ball on K nipple…and 1 or 2 out of bounds calls that went in Dook’s favor…a Houston player got hacked on a put back at the end too…Dook blowing a 14 pt lead lost them the game! Not the refs

the one OOB call (not the kick) that went dook's way was so obviously off dook I couldn't believe it wasn't reversed.

I believe Duke took 23 free throws to Houston's 18 but the refs favored Houston??? And you know that late fall away that Flagg took and missed, funny how no one is talking about the fact that Flagg had a flagrant hook on his defender but the refs favored Houston???

I thought I was the only one that saw that Flagg had a obvious hook on the defensive opponent

Dook is the last team that can complain about suspect officiating. They have been the beneficiary for YEARS!

I watched them stomping Houston and just left the TV on while I streamed a movie on my comp! I was starting to believe that they would end up with a gift from Houston being twitchy and the refs not being able to figure out who knocked the ball out~ BUT suddenly they started playing the D they are known for, and puke revealed their lack of heart + actual team cohesiveness I have been talking about for months! They haven't reacted well to real game pressure all year, admittedly because largely they have stomped folks. AND (Hot take of the year) Colonel Flagg actually makes them predictable. He is the obvious target for their end game, and everyone knows he has no intention of passing at winning time!

Way to go Houston and I agree that Face is harder to hate BUT isn't it lucky they keep recruiting peeps who are so easy to hate!

nope, I saw it too but when we talk about officiating, we have to consider two pertinent factors...the rules and the worth of the officiating. The two aren't usually that closely correlated, and the degree of correlation varies from ref to ref and from game to game.

The long and the short of it is that so much fouling is allowed that it's useless to talk about adherence to the actual rules. All that matters now is whether the refs are calling it consistently poorly within any given game, and from game to game and conference to conference.

This is why it galls me that with all the money being thrown around, they don't physically train the officials to make calls, and stress calling according to the rules. Last night, e.g., Cooper Flagg drove the hoop for a dunk, and took a good four steps (and maybe then some) along the way. It was not at all concealed by other players getting in the way. Easiest call ever to make, if you are ever going to call traveling. The pity is you expect it to not be called instead of expecting it TO be called.

I agree 100% with your nice comments on Scheyer vs. Rat. Maybe Scheyer never becomes half the coach that K was re accomplishments, wins, titles...but he seems to have way more class, civility, dignity, character...not a controlling ahole to everyone all the time like Rat was.

many may not have been around or don't remember when ratface came on the scene, but he was a complete dillweed because he couldn't gracefully accept that Dean dominated the landscape. The worst part is that after showing his ass in various ways for years until he finally started making a mark of his own, and Dean retired, he started wanting to act like Mr. magnanimous sportsmanship guy; like he was going out of his way to be humble and generous toward other coaches (especially Dean who he didn't at all care for) and programs in spite of his new prestige and importance, and as if that was just his nature. And not just act like it but in your face (camera) with it. A complete phony.
