Some like to jump on me when I make a reference to certain programs and their tendencies to shenanigans. Perhaps reading will help. This covers how much of it is done. And if you don't appreciate what Roy's up against with probably the majority of elite prospects, well, here ya go...

Yeah, Parish ain't my favorite.

As for the icky, if you hang out in AAU circles you can feel it... and then you pick up the scuttlebutt and it's often worse.

And hell, I don't even hang out in that environment all that often. I never much liked AAU when I coached HS and it's WAY worse now, but as a basketball junkie it's where the modern recruiting action is. Now don't get me wrong, there are some solid folks who coach or volunteer in AAU. I know some of them.... but they also often know where the bodies are buried, IYKWIM

Shh gary, you know much of our fan base can't handle the truth.
You know the ones, Roy can't coach, Roy can't recruit, we need younger people on staff, we can't land premier recruits blah, blah, blah.
