Why do you say that? We have the most experienced team in the country and we're in the top 3 (#1 in about half) of every early 2015-16 pool you look at today.Originally posted by RoseHeel:

I agree that we have the experience. But that will only put us so high over the competition. How much we improve this offseason will determine how deep of a run we make. IMHO, this feels a lot different than when we returned all our guys in 2012. It just feels like some of these guys might have reached their ceiling. Maybe it's because of our past 3 seasons have been just okay that I'm not so optimistic. Maybe its our recruiting.Originally posted by dadika13:

Certainly wouldn't think that guys like Berry, Jackson, and Pinson have reached their ceiling, and a healthy Paige along with those guys and Brice should make us tough to defend. To me the real question will be can we get better between the ears and stop beating ourselves with the TOs, bad defensive rebounding despite usually having size advantage, slap foul and-1s and fouls on the floor, quick shots when a team is on a run against us, etc. Basically the stuff Marcus said so well after the Wisky game. If we do less of that we should be in the mix.Originally posted by RoseHeel:

I really hope I'm wrong and the heels make me eat a triple helping of crow. I'd love to see a Wisconsin-like run for us with a different ending. But i gotta see it to believe it.
Agree. Big time agree.Originally posted by berens007:

It's a business decision. Right now Brandon feels more comfortable with Roy Williams than any other coach that is recruiting him. UNC has much to offer him for his anticipated one year in college. RW established a great rapport with this young man and his family ever since Brandon started the 8th grade and that is what will ultimately decide where BI goes.Originally posted by strummingram:
I'm getting a little sick of this Ingram kid's hoopla and fence-riding. I realize that today's college basketball scene is now a one-and-done showcase. But, you need complimentary players and good coaching.
This kid seems way too ambiguous for me. I dunno how a kid from NC can be on the fence like he seems to be. To me, it reveals a "which one will let me show off the most?" instead of "which one can I help the most?" Not to mention school favoritism. Then again, I remember when Danny Ferry went to dook and grew up a huge Tar Heels fan. I don't understand how anyone does that.
No big loss. He'd be lost on our nech next year or a minimum, Roy would have to deal with him taking minutes from an established player.Originally posted by diehard34:
Kinston native here fellows and just saying thats a Dook blue dot for a reason. Move on and just hope we got enough to do it without him. We will see him next year just now in our huddle.
He's an excellent outside shooter, he fulfills a definite need, a match-up nightmare for defenders and a very good ball handler for someone 6'8" . . . anytime you can get a top 10 player, you make the effort to corral him. An in-state player has a major value to your program . . so we don't want to miss on this kid.Originally posted by gunslingerdick:

Plus, I've said since day 1 of his recruitment that I'm not all that impressed. He's a good shooter and he supposedly played well at the McD's event. But he's not as good as Justin Jackson or Brice - the two guys who he would take time from next year.
I recognize all of that. But I'm scared of a lawsuit against UNC because Ingram had to go into ICU when he ran into a Joel James screen in practice. Seriously, my 8 year old has a more college ready physique.Originally posted by BillyL:

I pretty much agree. If he ends up choosing us (and there is no declaration by the NCAA in the meantime), then WTF was he waiting on? "C'mon guys, this is their moment in the limelight. They've worked really hard for this op...blah, blah, blah" That's ridiculous. The time it takes for these entitled high schoolers to make their decisions is absurd. I'm not saying it's not a big deal. You certainly want to choose the right fit and where you'll be happy. But I was a high schooler once. And I could have made such a decision in about 2 weeks time.Originally posted by strummingram:
I just dislike lukewarm people like him. And, I have no doubt he will be blew devil.
