Ingram Tweet...

I hope I'm not reading too much into it, but that might be a somewhat good sign.

Ingram doesn't even matter to me anymore..bout done with him..he knows what he wants..he's just keeping unc in the conversation because of Stackhouse!!

I agree that Ingram knows where he is going. I think he will go to dook after everybody leaves.

Let him go there or wherever I really do not care at this point and wish him the best except if he lands under the spell of Vader ..................then he is clearly the enemy

I'm color challenged, so what color is that dot? Seems to be half way between the two colors to me so I hold out hope!

Tar Heels are Family and we will be great next year. Mr. Ingram could be the start of a long spell of greatness!

Heels are Family!

That's a very tall order...
Why do you say that? We have the most experienced team in the country and we're in the top 3 (#1 in about half) of every early 2015-16 pool you look at today.

I agree that we have the experience. But that will only put us so high over the competition. How much we improve this offseason will determine how deep of a run we make. IMHO, this feels a lot different than when we returned all our guys in 2012. It just feels like some of these guys might have reached their ceiling. Maybe it's because of our past 3 seasons have been just okay that I'm not so optimistic. Maybe its our recruiting.

I really hope I'm wrong and the heels make me eat a triple helping of crow. I'd love to see a Wisconsin-like run for us with a different ending. But i gotta see it to believe it.

Certainly wouldn't think that guys like Berry, Jackson, and Pinson have reached their ceiling, and a healthy Paige along with those guys and Brice should make us tough to defend. To me the real question will be can we get better between the ears and stop beating ourselves with the TOs, bad defensive rebounding despite usually having size advantage, slap foul and-1s and fouls on the floor, quick shots when a team is on a run against us, etc. Basically the stuff Marcus said so well after the Wisky game. If we do less of that we should be in the mix.

I'm getting a little sick of this Ingram kid's hoopla and fence-riding. I realize that today's college basketball scene is now a one-and-done showcase. But, you need complimentary players and good coaching.

This kid seems way too ambiguous for me. I dunno how a kid from NC can be on the fence like he seems to be. To me, it reveals a "which one will let me show off the most?" instead of "which one can I help the most?" Not to mention school favoritism. Then again, I remember when Danny Ferry went to dook and grew up a huge Tar Heels fan. I don't understand how anyone does that.

Agree. Big time agree.

Berry and Jackson came on very strong towards the end of the year. Couple that with the general sentiment that most players improve the most bewteen freshman and sophomore years. Then throw in that we really never got to see Theo Pinson comfortable in the college game, Marcus getting healthy and we have the right parts for a championship caliber team.

But I do agree that our rising seniors and juniors are about as good as they're ever going to be. But they are good enough. Paige stated after the Wisconsin loss that this team was very close to being an elite team. I wholeheartedly agree with him. But to become elite, they do indeed need to stop with the brain farts. I think a determined leader like Marcus can make the team realize this over the summer.

Again, at the very least, I EXPECT a Final Four next season.

Kinston native here fellows and just saying thats a Dook blue dot for a reason. Move on and just hope we got enough to do it without him. We will see him next year just now in our huddle.

It's a business decision. Right now Brandon feels more comfortable with Roy Williams than any other coach that is recruiting him. UNC has much to offer him for his anticipated one year in college. RW established a great rapport with this young man and his family ever since Brandon started the 8th grade and that is what will ultimately decide where BI goes.

Be patient, folks . .

No big loss. He'd be lost on our nech next year or a minimum, Roy would have to deal with him taking minutes from an established player.

Plus, I've said since day 1 of his recruitment that I'm not all that impressed. He's a good shooter and he supposedly played well at the McD's event. But he's not as good as Justin Jackson or Brice - the two guys who he would take time from next year.

He's an excellent outside shooter, he fulfills a definite need, a match-up nightmare for defenders and a very good ball handler for someone 6'8" . . . anytime you can get a top 10 player, you make the effort to corral him. An in-state player has a major value to your program . . so we don't want to miss on this kid.

I recognize all of that. But I'm scared of a lawsuit against UNC because Ingram had to go into ICU when he ran into a Joel James screen in practice. Seriously, my 8 year old has a more college ready physique.

I'm just saying that he's not crucial to our success next year. Now, the year after is a different story.

Ingram is the real deal..and he's about to get a bump in the rankings!!..just not too sold on the fact that he might be coming here..Billy, l hear you though!!

Sure seems to me that we ought to consider that "other 6'8" kid" at the same position, besides he is a bit higher ranked in recruiting position...

He likes dook, let him go there.

I just dislike lukewarm people like him. And, I have no doubt he will be blew devil.

I pretty much agree. If he ends up choosing us (and there is no declaration by the NCAA in the meantime), then WTF was he waiting on? "C'mon guys, this is their moment in the limelight. They've worked really hard for this op...blah, blah, blah" That's ridiculous. The time it takes for these entitled high schoolers to make their decisions is absurd. I'm not saying it's not a big deal. You certainly want to choose the right fit and where you'll be happy. But I was a high schooler once. And I could have made such a decision in about 2 weeks time.

I'm not saying he's a bad guy. It's just a sign of the times.

Brown isn't coming to UNC . .

And neither is Ingram. Let it go

Can't do it.

Hey Billy, gut feeling or are you hearing good things on Ingram?

Both . . .

Take this for what you may, but, IMO we are the leaders for BI . .

Ingram is top drawer talent.... To not get him would truly suck...to lose him to dook would be excruciating. Name the last stud player from NC that we lost to Duke? We got to get him...make it happen Roy...pull out all stops!!

If we could land BI this team would remind me quite a bit of the 05 national championship team...
If I remember correctly the 05 starters were
-Raymond Felton PG (similar style to Berry)
-Rashad McCants SG (pure shooter like Paige)
-Jackie Manuel SF (great defender like Tokoto)
-David Noel PF (versatile and athletic like Brice)
-Sean May C (huge body in the middle, great passer, finishes well at the rim like Meeks)
-6th man: Marvin Williams (who was a freshman at the time that scored well off the bench, could be similar to BI)

Lots to be excited about for Tarheel fans next year....

Not seeing the comparison to the '05 team. Not anywhere near the talent on this team that the '05 had. That said, with or without Ingram I still like this team a lot next year.
