Interesting Teds

Name me one other show that's as successful as HIMYM where it's so easy to dislike the main character. No one likes Ted LOL. The other characters just carry the show enough to make up for him sucking.
I steered clear of him because he's more of a Teddy than a Ted. I don't think I've ever heard him referred to as "Ted". Judges?
There are definitely characters I've hated more than Ted Mosby, but they were generally characters you were supposed to dislike. In terms of a show where a/the main character is supposed to be "likable" and just misses that mark so hard, it's hard to think of one that compares. Walking Dead and Game Of Thrones are two really popular/successful shows that have hatable characters, but I wouldn't say those characters are the leads like Ted is. Friends has the "easy" answer in Ross, because he and Ted are basically the same person, but I think Friends was much more of an ensemble than HIMYM ever was.
Really, other than NPH and Jason Segel, I didn't like anyone in the main cast of HIMYM that much. Cobie Smulders and Alyson Hannigan had moments, and they were definitely considerably better than Ted, but overall, they fell way short of Harris and Segel, imo.
Agreed, NPH and Segel carried that show. Without them, it wouldn't have been any good. Cobie Smulders is alright, but Alyson Hannigan was annoying about 90% of the time.
Also, I'm glad to see other people agree with me on the "Ted sucks" thing haha.
