Pearl is on a pretty tight leash these days. AU's compliance office wouldn't let him hire a local AAU guy even though the guy was technically NCAA cleared. Pearl was not happy.

Charging down the lane for rim rattling dunks is fine among 15-18 year olds, let him play that at the NCAA level and he'll get a rapid response. The guy is good, game needs some refinement/polish/coaching... I'd love to see him at UNC but if he is swayed by those hangers on then see ya later, wish you the best.

I'm not going to pump up a top 10 recruit in a loaded class by putting down one of our players which is what I would have to do here. Let's agree to disagree on this one.

Come on man, we turned Bradley into Tim Duncan after he committed. Which is fine on an excitement level, it's good to get excited about great players, which Bam is.

Bam will not stay 4 years to develop. NBA teams are short on patience when it comes to development on their stage.

So just because he is a top 10 recruit, he is better then a senior Hicks? To me, Hicks has a better shot, better handle. Bam can dunk for sure, but Hicks had some monster dunklights in high school also. Let's not forget Hicks was McDonald's all American... To me, when Hicks is aggressive he is a beast.

Austin Wiley (5* '17) just pulled the trigger for AU on Pearl's big weekend. While there was NEVER any doubt where he was going, gotta hand it to Bruce for showmanship.
