Ever since there was a thread started about Marcus being compared to some of the great pure shooters that have played at UNC his shots have simply not been falling so I figured it's time for some reverse mojo .. so here goes.

Marcus you have got to be one of the worst UNC shooters to ever suit up and I think you would have better luck seeking out Cam Newton as a shooting coach because your shots are starting to look more like your throwing up a football than a basketball. Maybe if you practice with a soccer ball in the lay-up line you could see what it looks like to see a ball go through the basket. Now I now you told the rest of the guys that since some show-off on the team said he could shoot with either hand that you could do just as well with your shoes on the wrong feet but from a statistical point it's just not working out but if you wanna stay with it then that's fine with me cause I've got a $500 bet with a cow college dropout that says you don't score another 50 points by the end of the ACC regular season.

That should do it .. he should go for at least 9 against BC tomorrow .. and if he hits 30 I'm going out for hire.

Ok I admit my temperature went up a bit when I saw that thread title. Whatever works I'm for it

Like an earlier post, I was ready to rip the OP until I read the post! Anything that will work, I am for. I am ready to see a breakout game!

Wow! No consideration for my blood pressure, lol!

I'd pi** on a spark plug if I thought it would help!

@al would maybe you could start another thread and ponder if Marcus is the worse shooting guard ever in the ACC? That should be good for about 25 points from Paige.

As long as he plays like Donald Williams and Wayne Ellington in the big games (tournament), and not Shammond Williams or Dante Calabria, I'll be happy.

I've heard the spark plug quote before, but can't remember if it was a movie or TV show. Did you borrow it?

Been saying this for a long time without many seeing it.....Paige is a clutch shooter and scorer at pg, but not at sg. He may become that but he hasn't yet, and though Berry is great and may even be the best pure pg, the fact of the matter is we are trading a first team All-America, dominant, take over the game, Mr Clutch reliable scorer for an average shooting guard when we move Paige from point guard to shooting guard.

Shooting is largely mental. Yes, you work on the mechanics. Learn to take shots from high percentage areas, etc,....but the difference is mental. I think Paige has more of a sense of the flow of the game and control at pg which enabled him to become 2nd half Paige and a wonder kid.

He's just not the same at shooting guard. Should be but he isn't. Maybe he can find that same something at sg but hasn't happened yet.

So move Berry off the ball?
