We have 3 top 10 teams and 9 bowl eligible teams.

Big Ten: 3 top 10 with 8 bowl eligible teams.
Big 12: 1 top 10 team but few more that were close and 6 bowl eligible teams
Pac 12: one top 10 team (debatable whether they belong imo) and 10 bowl eligible teams
SEC: one top 10 team (no one else even close) and 10 bowl eligible teams

Apparently the CFP committee doesn't think so. The conference is getting screwed.

And I'm afraid that it will REALLY get screwed if we beat Clemson. The ACC will probably not have a team in the final four.

Think I heard that there are 17 p5 teams with overall losing records and 5 of them are in ACC

At first I laughed, then upon review I still laughed. However, your point is unimpeachable, but perception is king, and, sadly, the ACC continues underperforming against non-con teams. Until this changes (though we have an excellent bowl record the last ten years), we will get no respecto!

The Media and Pollsters will always go to bed with the Big 10 and PAC 10. The Big 10 beat up on cupcakes like Illinois, Indiana and Purdue, and everyone thinks they played a tough schedule.

I think if UNC beats Clemson, the ACC should have 2 teams in playoffs, along with Alabama and one other team from one of the lesser conferences.

Perceptions rule, but when our conference blows early non-con games then the opinion of our league will be seen negatively throughout the rest of the year, and this is an issue that is perennial

Even when we sweep the SEC in the season ending games (as we did last year) or are 3-1 in those games (as we were this year)

Win

Wins against SEC teams do not count. They are immune.
LOL.

I saw the overall W-L numbers on OOC play this season and the ACC didn't fare well. But, we also played as many P5 team OOC as the SEC and the B1G combined, if I remember correctly. Maybe the answer is more patsies to build our W-L records. (Only half serious)
