I am scratching my head on this because like Dsouthr I think Hicks could be a bull in a china shop if given a fair opportunity but where and whose spot could he take.

I am probably the biggest Brice Johnson supporter on this board so it would not be him because in the paint he always looks to score.

Jackson really improved his game in the last month of the season not only from the outside but also driving to the hole and if he is able to put on a little muscle he might be a all ACC player.

Meeks before he got hurt was outstanding and another summer working with the great Carolina trainer especially on his explosiveness be might be NBA bound after next season.

Hicks was night and day compared to his freshman season and very aggressive down low which I liked a bunch. He still like Brice fouls way too much but he is not scared to fight down low with a passion which is something the normal frontcourt often does not show.

But again someone much smarter than me tell me how this high energized kid can find more time on the court because I just cannot see it.

#1........ONLY way he gets more PT is to learn how to play without fouling.

#2.........Add some more muscle. He has the opportunity to be very special for us the next two years.

He has to show us he can play. Seriously, what can he do besides grab a rebound or two and foul when hedging off a screen 30 feet from the hoop?

He is awkward when he has the ball outside of 5 feet. I hate to be negative on a 21 year old kid but he has shown me nothing in 2 years that leads me to think he'll ever be a 15 and 10 guy.

He's shown flashes of the aggressive play on offense we all want to see from Brice and Meeks, and is a better defender than either of them right now. I think it's really a question of how much Kennedy improves, because if he doesn't I could see he and Hicks ending up with really similar PT next year.

Dang! He ain't THAT bad!

I think Hicks will be pretty good. There were several games he would have scored several more points, ball just didn't roll in for him.

I really like Hicks, he should get some serious minutes for us next year. At the rate Brice picks up fouls, I think he’ll see some decent time to spell Brice. I think against teams that don’t have a big center, we can afford to play Meeks a little less, and go with a Brice/Isaiah front court.

Hard to know exactly where the minutes will come from, but I’d assume Isaiah should see the same minutes he saw last year, plus all of Simmons’ and most of James’. This assumes he doesn’t start losing minutes to Maye

I think he takes a Brice-like leap in 2015-16. He attacks the rim hard. I'm hoping all of our frontline guys recommit to defensive rebounding. Way too many 2nd chance points given up this season and it negates the offensive rebounding advantage that these guys gained.

I would play Hicks a few more kinuites and James fewer minutes. That means I would have Hicks and Johnson togther several minutes per game.

If both those guys would develop outside shooting so that they nail open 15 footers, then together they would be a matchup nightmare for most teams.
