Here are some snippets from an interview I did with Isaiah Hicks after the loss to Wisconsin. Isaiah is a very soft spoken young man who doesn't say a lot. But his words that night were interesting enough I thought I'd put them out there for everyone.
From last week in L.A., I asked Hicks what his mood was.
"Season's over, it's probably the worst mood to be in."
On if it was different from a year ago because it appeared as if the team was still ascending when it lost?
"I can't say it was different because we still lost. The ultimate goal was to play in the Final Four and the championship game. So, we just came short again this year so it's the same feeling to me."
I then asked about his personal development
"I improved but there are still things I can work on in the offseason. Just get prepared for next year."
On getting better in the offseason:
"It's something we can look forward to, just work hard in the offseason and good things can happen."
