I am absolutely going crazy, waiting for Saturday to get here! So, last night I watched Eason's senior season Hudl highlights. First impression is that the kid is HUGE! Looks to be every bit of 6'6". Although he is a pocket passer, he got out of the pocket and he can pick up a few yards on the ground when he has to. He has a really big arm and looks to be very accurate.
Of course, this is a highlight tape, but he appears to like to take a shot at the long ball over what is the shorter, safer throw. There were many times when he had someone 8-10 yards wide open and he connected with another receiver who was sometimes well covered for a long pass. So, he appears to like to take chances.
The main thing that stood out that might be beneficial for us is that he threw a ton of balls off of his back foot or at times when his feet weren't set. In high school he could get away with that because his arm is so strong. But, I would love to see him try to throw a couple of those balls against MJ and Des.
I am sure that his coaches have worked with him on this, but it will be interesting to see, once the bullets start flying, if he reverts back to some of his old habits against us. I sure hope so.
