This is Jalen's time to take control of the middle. What makes him dangerous is exactly the same thing we have seen in so many dangerous big men, he can step out and shoot. Living a bruiser's life under the basket is not his game. He can bang, but he's better on the move. Hubert has been looking for that big body that can absorb heavy impact play under the basket. He'll find someone. You have to remember, someone is going to be instantly compared to Mando. That's a lot of pressure. Which really is another reason J-Wash should stick to his game. He's not Mando either. The best we can probably hope for this season is platooning the middle and taking advantage of everyone's strengths as well as we can. We have a lot of strong guards this year and that should definitely help open up the middle. We're going to be a different looking team. More finesse and fewer power driven plays. We'll be quicker overall too and that should work well with Washington. I'm excited to see J-Wash get his chance to shine. He's sure put in the work.
