Spot on D, this is the big in the class that fits us best. He has Bacots motor and footwork on the block, but he also has the ability to face up from 15 and knock that shot down or take his man to the hole. He reminds me of Trayce Jackson Davis, with a jumpshot.Yeah, now that is the dude I wanted, good size and bulk to carve out room, those big men love to play for programs that have the guards that will get them the ball. Shocks a lot of folks, Ill was a hard team to beat for this kid, glad we were able to.
Did they recruit Bobby Frasor?Who was the last Chicago recruit we beat dook for?
We have a lot of unanswered questions about which UNC guards will be at UNC in 2023 and 2024. And Cap Jack could be playing his 1 year of college in either 2023 or 2024. I'll be impressed if Hubert can get him to show up for his OV.Honestly, with this commit along with Cadeau, if Cap Jack doesn't commit to UNC, then he is out of his mind!
He played on Mean Streets AAU, and so did Jalen WashingtonYeah, now that is the dude I wanted, good size and bulk to carve out room, those big men love to play for programs that have the guards that will get them the ball. My nephews team played Rita twice last year, Chicago summer ball. They beat them when Brown did not play, got whooped when Brown played the next time. Good footwork and agility, dominated. Everything I hear about the kid is positive, his game should grow. Great get.Spot on D, this is the big in the class that fits us best. This was a BIG MISS for Illinois basketball, and maybe signaling that Carolina is back to " Selecting Recruits" once again.😎
Illinois and the newer staff has been trying to reestablish with Chicago, and make ammends, this hurts that effort some. The old regimes angered many high school coaches and AAU coaches. They basically shunned the Illini for the most part.Spot on D, this is the big in the class that fits us best. Illinois has a commitment from James Brown's high school/AAU teammate Morez Johnson.Illinois and the newer staff has been trying to reestablish with Chicago, and make ammends, this hurts that effort some. Why the giggle? Frasor was a highly thought of 4 star at that time before the injuries.LOL
No
Because I'm familiar with how the 2005 recruiting class went for UNC and dook. Why the giggle? Frasor was a highly thought of 4 star at that time before the injuries.
Yep, the new staff/University leaders have worked hard to open that fertile ground back up, that is why I'm sure this one hurts a bit. They certainly thought they had a good chance with the progress they have made.Illinois has a commitment from James Brown's high school/AAU teammate Morez Johnson.
UI fans are rationalizing it by saying the two players are redundant and don't play particularly well together.Yep, the new staff/University leaders have worked hard to open that fertile ground back up, that is why I'm sure this one hurts a bit. Not at all, I do not buy that one iota. They wanted him bad. Long history with Chicago hoops and U of I after how Jimmy Collins was treated and the public league coaches along with Mac Irvin and other AAU godfathers had Illinois persona non grata.UI fans are rationalizing it by saying the two players are redundant and don't play particularly well together.
I am too, with the players each team got finally, but couldn't remember the players that Duke may have had offers to. Their class was a complete Bust, and ours became the foundation for the greatest run in Roy's Carolina career.Because I'm familiar with how the 2005 recruiting class went for UNC and dook.
Everyone wanted #1 PG in the class Greg Paulus, including Roy Williams. dookies landed him. I think it was 7 months after Paulus picked dook that Bobby Frasor burst onto the national recruiting scene at the Kingwood Classic, which was followed by UNC's scholarship offer.I am too, with the players each team got finally, but couldn't remember the players that Duke may have had offers to. I know there are people here who love Frasor on this board, I didn't get his status in high school, and saw him a lot, and he was a solid role player type for D1, I get that. You are right though, he did get a lot of recruiting attention.Everyone wanted #1 PG in the class Greg Paulus, including Roy Williams. dookies landed him. dook got exactly who they wanted at point guard in the 2005 class. They got who everyone wanted. Ironically, he ended up being best known as a flopper and as the guy Danny Green teabagged.
