Absolutely true, Archer. My family has a friend in the late stages of ALS as we speak. Obviously no disease or sickness is good, but the slow but steady degeneration experienced by ALS is very painful and depressing for the patient. You just hope / pray for some sort of comfort, (until they find a cure). Hard to describe how horrible this is on the patient, and their family and friends to experience. Very sad.
Prayers go out to the whole Capel family. ALS is such a nasty disease. I pray a cure comes sooner rather than later!
I enjoyed that story and I hate to hear of them going through this. It puts basketball into perspective.
