It's tough to get some of this stuff on record, as the Javin DeLaurier camp is a bit quiet lately, but I was able to assemble some intel from a few different sources on the 6-8 PF from Charlottesville, VA.
The 2016 stamina-laden forward is evidently going to release an official list of eight sometime soon, perhaps in the coming week. He has received about 30 offers and I think he is tending towards moving to a more manageable recruitment.
There are some whispers that he may visit Duke unofficially this month, but I haven't been able to confirm that yet, with conviction. He has already visited UNC, unofficially, and holds a firm offer from the Tar Heels.
Some other schools that seem to be getting good traction (mention) from DeLaurier include Texas, Vanderbilt, Princeton, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Florida and possibly Cal.
From anyone who knows Javin, this is a kid who academics is very important to. I think he wants to go somewhere that he sees a role for himself pretty early, has a high academic profile and somewhere that runs, as his game is built on straight hustling and dirty work.
