Just saw where Vegas had Joel listed as probable and was wondering if there was any word about his practice today. Saw Roy's presser and he was a bit coy in his responses and was just curious if anyone was actually at the UNC practice today and watched him go through the paces.

Joel will play just hope he's well enough to hit some big shots cause we're gonna need him Justin and Luke.

He went through the full practice, says he is at about 85%. Roy is Roy about these things. He won't be 100% but will play. We all knew that though, haha.

Al, I'm gonna post this at the risk of being redundant... and sounding like a sandbagger: What worries me MOST is not the original sprain, but the later sprain of the LEFT ankle. If you're right-handed the left ankle is the one you push off on 80% of the time... especially on drives. I'll be honest. Y'all know how highly I regard JB in the realm of Carolina PGs... that being said, I'm not optimstic.

If we pull this one off, this team and JB will go down in the annals of Carolina BB legend.

Joel looked pretty darn spry to me during the open practice yesterday afternoon. If I didn't know better I wouldn't have even thought he was injured in the slightest.

From Joel after yesterday's practice:
"I felt pretty good. I did the whole practice today which is good. I came out of it with no injuries," Berry said. "I felt like I was 85% today. Overall I felt pretty good, I was just happy to get up and down the court just to see how I felt and I felt pretty good."

Berry was held out of full court work during Thursday's practice, something head coach Roy Williams said Berry was upset about.

And Roy with the "You're mad, huh? That's good".

He knows we need the Dog ready. I hope the Dog is able to get a little nasty.

Hopefully with another night's sleep he's near 100% now.

Kid had a rough night . . not the best time to be battling a stomach virus.

Was Joel's birthday yesterday or today? Maybe Joel can be like Sean May - I remember Sean having a huge Final Four and a nice birthday party AT the Final Four in 2005.

OK, lets cut to the chase, Joel will play and I think play well, not worried about Joel. BUT Mr Hicks, this is either your last or next to last game in that jersey, tonight is the time to show senior leadership, you do not get any ore second chances, this is it, this is all you have. You either show that you are a senior leader with the shear will to lead your fellas or the fire is not all that hot. Time to put up because you will have to live with tonight for the rest of your life, be it good or bad.

Mr Hicks, IMO, you are the difference maker in this game, what you do will dictate if this is your last game or if you have one more to play, don't leave anything that is not left on the court, play this game as if it is the last game you will ever play, dreams are within your reach, WILL YOU grab them...

Don't know about all that .. Hicks has multiple players to come in and take up his slack but there is but 1 JBII .. jmho.

Regardless of how he feels, I'd put the guy on crutches and really play it up. Let the Zags think he's crippled and then let 'em have it Monday night.

The Nasty Dog is the toughest man on the court! There was never any doubt he would play and starting anybody but JB would make Roy the most foolish coach on the planet! JB will play and play well. Hopefully, he has adjusted and can start hitting his shots again (or at least freethrows), but I guarantee he will be running the show and making life miserable for Zag guards!

The rest of the starters need to just pick it up a little and follow where ever JB leads!
