He was everywhere Saturday night. 14 tackles, 8 solo and one for a loss. He chased down Miami runners for would be TDs and saved the day. He was the best D guy out on the field and, NO, I'm not his dad or family member.
I agree. Gemmel played a great game.He was everywhere Saturday night. 14 tackles, 8 solo and one for a loss. He chased down Miami runners for would be TDs and saved the day. He was the best D guy out on the field and, NO, I'm not his dad or family member.
Almost positive he played every snap.We gotta get him a backup. Did he ever come out of the game?
I'm also not his dad or family. But we need some depth.
That means he was getting to ball carriers when others on D were not. If he had missed as many tackles as the average LB under Fedora not named Holcomb or Shoettmer, his total would have been 6 or 7, not 14.It's very hard to argue against 14 tackles with 8 solo. Just trying to give credit where it is certainly due.
Not to burst OP’s bubble but Gemmel made lots of tackles much farther away from the LOS than you want a LB making tackles. And as RH notes was abused in pass coverage. He looks to have some nice speed and tackled better than week 1 but our LBs still have a ways to go.
