I'm dumfounded... the guy just signed a $44 million extension with the local ball team.... they didn't recognise him???
Even if they didn't. He's clean-cut, an athlete and 6-10. Add in race... how many black guys in Wisconsin fit that profile who aren't pro sportsmen??
Instead of locking the door they should have rolled out the red carpet. Might have ended up with a piece of that $44mil instead of all the negative publicity.

This just baffles me! The great division of this country is getting that much worse. So sorry that John experienced this!
No,no. Seems as John played the race card without knowing the facts. The article says the store had been robbed twice from guys with a car with dealership tags. The employees were just being cautious. I've never been robbed (I assume they would have been armed) so I can't say how I would react either.
Do you blame him "playing the race card" without facts in that situation? he went to a jewelry store, they locked the doors, ran to the back and called the cops. I'd have the same reaction as John...

You would of reacted the same way had you been in John's shoes. Seems like this store isn't a stranger in dealing with people of color.
I call BS on that report....so the jewelry store sends someone around the back of the car to check the tags whenever they see a guy walking up to the door????
So if that happened to let's say Tyler Hansbrough, same type/color vehicle the store wouldn't of went into lockdown mode? Bottom line is this whole thing sucks and it's easy for one to say what they'll do or what should of been done till it happens to them.
Does this same store go in lockdown mode for all black people. I hate this happened to him. My first instinct from the story was there was more to it. Why would a jewelry store profile like this. They operate on revenue now rasism. I can also understand Johns side as well. Jumping to conclusions is rampant these days. If it proves to be true that the store had history of burgerlery then should John issue a public apology for calling them out? BTW, I despise the race card. Serves to inflame most situations
If anyone owes anyone an apology, it should be the jewelry store and the police. John Henson and any other minorities are not responsible for all of the past crimes of that store. It pretty funny that these stories almost always happen to wealthy blacks. Ask Oprah!!!!!
